INCIDENT TYPE – CRIMINAL HOMICIDE AT 3942-2E PALLAS WAY (ARREST)

HIGH POINT, NC – On 06/21/21 at 12:41 pm, High Point Police Department began an investigation into
the welfare of Gianna Rose Delgado, W/F, 19, of High Point, NC. High Point Police Department received
information that Delgado was assaulted at her residence at 3942 2E Pallas Way, High Point, NC. The
suspect was identified as Delgado’s boyfriend, Michael Louis Cadogan, B/M, 24, of High Point, NC.
Delgado was believed to be deceased as a result of the assault, and Cadogan was attempting to dispose
of the body by traveling to Tennessee. The High Point Police Department prepared and executed a
Search Warrant on the shared apartment of Delgado and Cadogan in search of items of evidence.

Working in conjunction with High Point PD, Carter County (TN) Sheriff’s Department located Delgado’s
vehicle operated by Cadogan. Carter County Sheriff’s Department prepared and executed a Search
Warrant on the vehicle and located the body of a deceased female. Cadogan was charged with
Tampering with a Corpse and was held without bond in Tennessee. The deceased female has been
positively identified as Delgado.

Warrants for First Degree Murder and Felony Concealment of Death have been obtained on Michael
Louis Cadogan. Service of the warrants and extradition of Cadogan will be coordinated in the near
future. No further details will be released regarding this investigation at this time.

The investigation involves the High Point Police Department, Carter County (TN) Sheriff’s Department,
Carter County (TN) Coroner’s Office, Kingsport (TN) Police Department, and the Watauga County (NC)
Sheriff’s Department. The hard work and assistance of each agency are greatly appreciated.
