MGN572:INDIVIDUAL DYNAMICS AND LEADERSHIP

Course Outcomes: Through this course students should be able to

CO1 :: enumerate the basic concepts and nature of individual behavior

CO2 :: understand the tools and techniques for personality assessment and its relation with
individual behaviour.

CO3 :: analyze evidence-based conceptual frameworks of individual dynamics and leadership

CO4 :: apply value and attitude based concept in leadership

CO5 :: evaluate learning, perception and motivation competent for establishing and sustaining
collaborations with organizations stakeholders

Unit I
Introduction to Individual Dynamics : organizational behavior model and its application in present
industrial scenario
Personality : assessment centers and their significance, application of transactional Analysis and
significance of its various states, personality measurement tools
Unit II
Values, Attitude and Perception : role of values and external environment in shaping the attitude,
application of ABC model of attitude at workplace, relation between types of job attitude with various
components of attitude, effect of perceptual errors and biasness on individual's attitude
Unit III
Emotions and Moods : impact of emotions and moods at workplace, significance of emotional
intelligence and emotional quotient in supervisor-subordinate relationship
Learning : application of learning theories at different organizational levels

Unit IV
Leadership and Individual Behavior : role of leader in shaping individual's attitude towards task,
leadership challenges in dealing with situational and individual dynamics, application of artificial
intelligence in leadership and individual behavior
Unit V
Motivation and Leadership : application of motivational theories, application of managerial grid for
effective leadership style
Unit VI
Modernistic Practices in Leadership and Individual Behavior : people analytics and its
significance, role of leader in VUCA world( Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity), role of a
leader in business sustainability
