General PTA Officers cum Principal’s Hour S.Y. 2020-2021.
The highlights of the meeting provided different reminders and

announcements discussed by the beloved principal of Tibag High
School, Dr. Juvelyn L. Esteban, in her Principal’s Hour. After that,
there’s an Open Forum to parents or guardians wherein they are
feel free to ask questions. Next, a message coming from the
Outgoing GPTA President, Christopher Lee. Afterwards, there’s a
Statement of GPTA Officers’ Duties and Responsibilities presented
by Ma’am Juanita M. Salvatierra in a powerpoint presentation. She
informatively explained the duties and responsibilities of each
officers. After it, there’s an Election of GPTA Officers facilitated by
the Mathematics Department of Tibag High School, headed by
Ma’am Juanita A. Soriano and her colleagues, Sir Fernando N.
David and Sir Paul Anthony A. Galang. Elected presidents and vice
presidents of junior and senior high schools voted wisely for the
different positions. The election took an hour until the Mathematics
Department facilitated by Sir Fernando N. David, announced the
winners. The newly elected GPTA Officers are as follows:

At the end of the meeting, the GPTA President, Theresa Ocoma

gave her concluding speech. She gave thanks to all the individuals
who voted her and supported her.
The pandemic that we’re experiencing right now is a challenge in

conducting meetings and classes. But because of the online
platforms like google classroom and google meet, teaching and
learning is possible. In terms of the flow of the meeting or program,
the allotted time for the schedule was maximized.
Issues and Challenges In addition to the issues and challenges, some teachers experience
dilemmas/problems in the internet connection. But because of their
strategic competence, they solved the technical problems.
This pandemic has shown us how important teachers are and how
they can succeed, even during a crisis, with the right technology
and support system.
The Virtual Meeting was recorded to have an evidence of the event.

The purpose of the recording is to review the flow of events and to
provide guidance for the teachers who were not able to attend the
meeting in its real time.
The principal, in her Principal’s Hour during the meeting, Dr.

Juvelyn L. Esteban, assured that all concerns or questions were
Action Taken answered especially the issues and challenges during this new
normal. The concern on online teaching was also clarified. The
speaker gave solutions or clarifications on the feedbacks raised by
the parents or guardians.
The Virtual Meeting became meaningful because it provided a lot of

insights about the issues and challenges that teachers, students,
and parents face during this new normal. Also, the Election of
GPTA Officers was successful. It was a productive day to all.

VIRTUAL MEETING ON GENERAL PTA ELECTION OF OFFICERS CUM

FRUITFUL BEGINNING. Ma’am Jonah Micah Mangaco, one of the JHS teachers, was the
assigned moderator during the Virtual Meeting. The program started at 9:00 AM in the
morning with an opening prayer and national anthem. Sir Alejandro B. Lingat also led the roll
call.

BITS OF LEARNINGS TO THE BASIS OF THE DEPED ORDER. Dr. John-John J. Flores, focal
person of SHS Department, discussed the rationale, scope, and definition of terms in the
DepEd. He emphasized on the essence of its implementation to different schools. He also
explained the policy statement and the important procedures for the success of the
implementation.
EPITOME OF DEDICATION. Dr. Juvelyn L. Esteban, principal of Tibag High School, explained
briefly the purpose of the Virtual Meeting. In her Principal’s Hour during the meeting, she
informed everyone, especially the parents or guardians, some important announcements
and reminders. She talked of the following: First Quarter is extended to December 12, 2020,
the turnover of positions on the Election of GPTA Officers, Duties and Responsibilities of
Officers, SEF, LGU’s in giving gadgets, Radio-Based Instruction, a form about feedbacking,
and DepEd Order No. 30 & 31. Also, after her speech, there is an OPEN FORUM where
parents or guardians asked questions.
