Detailed Lesson Plan in Music III

I. LESSON OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:


 identifies musical lines as similar, same and different through singing;
 sing songs that has a similar, same, and different lines; and
 Participate in a singing activity.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

TOPIC: " Musical Form "

REFERENCE:

 Modyul sa Musika 3 p 2-8

MATERIALS: Speakers, Laptop, powerpoint presentation, and musical instruments

 Greetings

Good morning class! Good morning Teacher! Good morning classmates

 Checking of Attendance
(The teacher will check the attendance
according to row which is in the seat plan)
 Review
The teacher will have an activity and all the students
will sing the song "Bahay Kubo" and they will write the
melodic control of the song.
(Sings the "Bahay Kubo")
(Write the melodic control of the song)

(Sings the song "ten little indians")

 Motivation
The students will sing the song "ten little indians"

Student 1: The lines with the same melody and rhythm


are the first and fourth line.
Student 2: The lines with similar melody and rhythm is
the fourth and fifth line.
Student 2: The line with different line is the last line.

1. Which line in the song has similarities or same in
melody? (similar) and (same)
2. Which line in the song has different melody?
(different).

 Lesson Proper

Musical Form
 A Same line is a line that has an exact melody
and rhythm.
 A similar line is a line that has similarities but not
exact melody and rhythm.
 A different line is line that has different in melody
and rhythm.
(Sings the song "Are you sleeping Brother Jhon?")

Group activity
The teacher will group the students into
three.
Each group will sing a song that is given by the Student 4: The song only same lines.
teacher, and also they must identify 5 lines with
the same, similar and different melody and
rhythm.
Group 1. Bahay Kubo
Group 2. Row your Boat
Group 3: Old Mc. Donald
Note: Each member must participate.

Application
The teacher and students will sing the song "Are you
sleeping Brother Jhon"

similar, or different. Write Same if the lines are exactly the same, write Similar if the
lines is similar, and write Different if the lines are different. Write your answer in the
space provided.
