LEARNING PROCEDURE
( Introductory) The teacher will present a picture that shows physical distancing and will ask
questions regarding the pandemic that we are facing today. Relate their answers
in motion in terms of distance and displacement.
ACTIVITY LECTURE DISCUSSION ONLINE and OFFLINE (synchronous and asynchronous via
google classroom) about motion in terms of distance and displacement.
ANALYSIS TRACE IT!
Trace the distance and displacement using the given picture/figure and answer
the following questions.
1. What is your total distance travelled?
2. Do you have a displacement?
3. What is your displacement?
4. How did you determine the distance and displacement?
ABSTRACTION Motion is a change of position of an object relative to its point of reference. This
change of position can be measured in two ways; distance and displacement.
Distance refers to the length of the entire path that an object travelled while
Displacement is the shortest distance between the object’s point of origin and its
point of destination regardless of the path it took to get to that destination.
Draw a map of your house indicating the different parts of the house ( sala,
kitchen, bedroom, terrace, garage, etc) and make a sample computation showing
solution for line segments and arrows. Select any part of your house (ex. From
sala to bedroom, then to kitchen to terrace.)
ASSESSMENT Construct your own poster-slogan using a marker and other coloring materials.
Your poster-slogan must focus on the importance of social distancing to prevent
the spread of COVID-19. Post your output in our facebook group and you will be
rated using the attached rubric at the class group chat.
