I. Name of Barangay/Community
The full address of the barangay that has been chosen is barangay Bagbaguin
Valenzuela City. The barangays land mark is the so called “The City Hall Anex”
aka “3s center” which stands for Sentro ng Sama - Samang Serbisyo and that
building is comprised of the Barangay Hall, Daycare Center, Police community
precinct, Fire Sub-Station, And a tricycle terminal.

II. BRIEF BACKGROUND/HISTORY OF THE BARANGAY/COMMUNITY

Barangay Bagbaguin is considered the getaway to the metropolis from the bukid
area of the north Caloocan.The barangay is divided into 3 sitios namely Bisalao,
Malinis, and Centro. Bagbaguin is about 300 meters away from the Malinta Exit
of the North Luzon Expressway and is proud of the seven schools for the children
it has Bagbaguin National High School (soon to open), Andres Mariano
Elementary School, Bagbaguin Pre-School Education Program I (Main),
Bagbaguin Pre-School Education Program II (Annex), Bagong Nayon Day Care
Center, Bright Hope School (private) and St. Michael Academy (private). Brgy.
Bagbaguin is predominantly Roman Catholics (70%). The second largest
domination is Iglesia Ni Cristo (22%) and Charismatic Christians (8%). About
50% of the family heads are workers and laborers.

A. Source of Income
There are a lot of small businesses all around Barangay Bagbaguin
that for some is there main source of income such as sari-sari store,
barber shop, bakery, karinderya, selling vegetable, salon, and more.

B. HOUSEHOLD STRUCTURE
All most all of the households in Barangay Bagbaguin are made up of
concrete this is to ensure the stability of the house.

C. NATURE OF RESIDENCY
The nature of residency of Barangay Bagbaguin is mostly owned,
or rented.

D. HOUSEHOLD ELECTRICITY
Households in the Barangay Bagbaguin is legal/metered
connection. The electricity provider for the Barangay is Meralco.

E. TOILET FACILITY
The toilet facility for every household in Barangay Bagbaguin
Individual Per Household.

A. Common Diseases
The most common health concerns of Barangay Bagbaguin are
Dengue, Polio, and others.

B. COMMUNITY HEALTH FACILITIES.


The main facility for health care for the Brgy is the
Bagbaguin Health Station.

B. Source of water supply


Source of water supply for the whole Barangay Bagbaguin is from a commercial
water.

C. Peace and Order.


-Violence against women and children, Report on CICL (Children in Conflict with
the law), Anti-drug abuse, and more.

- Giving BADAC together with the police to spread awareness about the
prohibited drug/s.
- the barangay have settled 38 out of 38 or 100% barangay complaints from
October 2020 - March 2021.

D. Garbage Disposal and Waste Management Program?


The garbage collection in bagbaguin is usually done every night around
8:30 to 9:00 pm so that the garbage truck will not cause that much problem in
traffic, but as metro manila have been placed into community quarantine and
longer curfew hours have been implemented the garbage collection has been
adjust to 6:00 pm.

- My recommendation for Barangay Bagbaguin is that they need to improve the


traffic system because most of the time the public roads are in construction that
causes the traffic to slow or stop. Except that I think what ever the Barangay Officials
are in doing for the community right now is good because as a person who grew up
in the Bagbaguin I was lots of improvement.
