FOR PULSATION AND PRESSURE CONTROL

A 2820 Blowertrol is a relay-controlled, air operated butterfly valve
mounted to a blower inlet. It has two purposes:
1. To eliminate pulsation occurring in some air systems when the blower
is operating at an extremely low percentage of its rated flow capacity.
2. To maintain blower outlet pressure within ±0.1"wc at a specified down-
stream point.
The Blowertrol air operator requires 4 cfm power at a fairly constant
pressure between 12 and 32 osi. Blowers operating in this pressure
range can be used as the power air source. Supply pressure exceeding
32 osi must be reduced. An external power air source is required for
blowers rated less than 12 osi.
Blowertrols are available for a choice of operating pressure ranges.
Standard units (with -S spring) will control between 8 and 32 osi. For
blowers rated below 8 osi, specify Blowertrol with -Y spring. For blowers
rated above 32 osi, specify -B spring.

Blowertrol purchased with a blower. If blower pressure is not be -

relay diaphragms.

2400-D Blowers use a 2820-10 Blowertrol.

2400-F Blowers use a 2820-12
2400-G Blowers use a 2831 Total Pressure Blowertrol.

Blowertrols are available in 4" (-7) through 12" (-12) pipe sizes. Standard practice is to select Blowertrol by matching inlet pipe
size of blower.
Blowertrols must always be mounted with the air operating diaphragm case in a vertical plane.
When required, adapter is included with Blowertrol mounted on a North American blower.
