DECLARATION

I, SAURABH SEHRAWAT student of MBA in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture


Development at Netaji Subhas University of Technology, hereby declare that this report titled
“SKILL CERTIFICATION-II” submitted to Department of Management Studies is a record of
skill certification sessions attended by me.

This report work has not been performed on the basis for the award for any degree, diploma,
associate ship, fellowship or any other similar title, of any institute or any other body.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I have taken efforts in this project however, it would not have been possible without the kind
support and help of NSUT IIF, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to them.

I am highly indebted to NSUT IIF for their guidance and constant supervision as well as for
providing necessary information regarding the project and also for his support in the successful
completion of the capstone project. I would like to express my gratitude towards members of
DOMS-NSUT for their kind co-operation and encouragement which helped in the completion of
this capstone project.

Finally, I thank The Almighty, professor, my parents, brother, sister and friends for their constant
encouragement without which this assignment would not have been possible.
INTRODUCTION

Skill and knowledge are the driving forces of the economic growth and social development of
any country. The economy becomes more productive, innovative and competitive through the
existence of skilled human potential. Based on this assumption, skill development is major
aspect for running any start-up or even a business.

Skill certification is mandated for the fulfilment of MBA-IEV course. Skill certifications are
the workshop being conducted to hone our entrepreneur skills and also get to know how to
implement those in real life scenarios.

I have attended various online sessions for our skills development which are being taken by the
industry experts, people who have worked with various start-ups, venture capital who helped
them raise money etc. These sessions are really helpful for us as they taught us about insights
of the industry.

Below I have listed the sessions being attended by us. Followed by the brief summary of the
sessions.

Also I have attached the skill certificate being provided by sessions I have attended. I have
devoted around 40 hours in attending those sessions, summaries of those are provided below
for reference.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS

SESSION 1 : BY IGDTUW

TOPIC: Sustainable Development Goals

DATE: 06th March 2021

TIME: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon

MENTOR: Ms. Bharti Birla – Project Manager and Chief Technical Advisor (ILO DWT)

Summary: This session was conducted by IGDTUW, where we learnt about gender equality
for students, scholars and entrepreneurs. We have also learned about the sustainable
development goals.

SESSION 2 : BY IGDTUW

TOPIC: Quality Education and handholding

DATE: 13th March 2021

TIME: 11.00 am to 1.00 pm

MENTOR: Mr. Ambrish Rai

Summary: This session was conducted by IGDTUW, where Mr. Ambrish Rai covered the
topic of the sustainable development goals on quality education and handholding techniques.
He talked about how it can affect us in longer run and how these handholding sessions can help
the first time entrepreneurs.
SESSION 3 : BY IGDTUW

TOPIC: How to become successful Entrepreneur

DATE: 11th April 2021

TIME: 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm

MENTOR: Prof. Avijit Banerjee -Director, GLF Business School, Kolkata

Summary: This session was conducted by IGDTUW. In this session Prof. Avijit Banerjee
taught us about the Institutional support for entrepreneurs and the government scheme to
support the entrepreneurs. Then the importance and advantage of marketing for start-ups in
early stages of their venture. Which cost effective marketing tools can be used by bootstrapping
start-ups etc.

SESSION 4 : BY IGDTUW

TOPIC: Concepts of M&A and Startups leveraging M&A route

DATE: 18th April 2021

TIME: 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm

MENTOR: Ms. Nimisha Jain

Summary: This session was conducted by IGDTUW. In this session Ms. Nirisha has covered
the topic of Concepts of M&A and Startups leveraging M&A route. Then she talked about the
emerging entrepreneurial landscape in India and what are the opportunity and challenges faced
by entrepreneurs.
SESSION 5 : BY Davos lab Dialogues

TOPIC: Achieving Digital Equity in India, Pakistan and Beyond

DATE: 7th April 2021

TIME: 9.00 pm to 11.00 pm

MENTOR: 1. Amrita Choudhary – Director Cyber Café association of India

2. Shah Faraz Salim – General Manager Dawood Hercules Corporation

3. Sarah Morris – Director of New America’s Open Technology Institute

Summary: This session was conducted by Davos lab dialogues, they have discussed about the
rising entrepreneur trends in South Asia. How we can achieve digital equality in India, Pakistan
and around our neighbouring countries.

SESSION 6 : BY Learn 2 Protect

TOPIC: L2Pro IP E-learning Platform

DATE: 20th April 2021

TIME: 11.00 am to 12.30 pm

MENTOR: L2PRO Team

Summary: This session was conducted by L2Pro IP E-learning Platform. Where they talked
about the Intellectual Property rights and what are the importance of it while running a start-ups
for entrepreneurs.
SESSION 7 : BY i-hub Entrepreneurship Development Cell

TOPIC: Basic of Intellectual Rights

DATE: 9th June 2021

TIME: 11.00 am to 1.30 pm

MENTOR: Ms. Pooja Rawal – VP Client Engagement & Business Development at Aumirah
IP

Summary: This session was conducted by i-hub Entrepreneurship Development Cell. Ms


Pooja has talked about the Intellectual Property rights and what are the basics of Intellectual
rights and how start-ups can use this for their advantage.

SESSION 8 : BY E-Cell AUR

TOPIC: Entrepreneurial Finance and Risk Management

DATE: 13th June 2021

TIME: 11.00 am to 1.30 pm

MENTOR: Subodh Soni - Manager - L&T Financial services, MBA - Finance, T A Pai
Management Institute

Mr. Nitesh Kumar - User experience Manager in BYJUS - the learning app

Summary: This session was conducted by E-Cell AUR. Mr Subodh and Mr Nitesh talked the
source of entrepreneurial finance how we can source it and what are the risk management for
the same.
SESSION 9 : BY DPGITM in collaboration with the Institutional Innovative Council

TOPIC: Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and IP management

1.Introduction to fundamental aspects of Intellectual property rights.

2.Introduction to patents, the patent regime in India and abroad, and registration aspects.

3.Some critical case studies and court judgments.

4.Introducing trademarks and registration aspects, copyrights, and their related rights.

5.Introduction to Design, Geographical Indication (GI) International Law of Patents


Trademarks & Industrial Designs & Indian Legislation.

DATE: 15th June 2021

TIME: 11.00 am to 1.30 pm

MENTOR: Mr. Sarvesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Integral University, Lucknow

Summary: This session was conducted by DPGITM in collaboration with the Institutional
Innovative Council. The aim of the workshop is to make participants aware of critical aspects
of IPR and make them ready to play a major role in the development and management of
innovative projects in industries.

SESSION 10 : BY Amity University Jaipur

TOPIC: Intellectual Property for Start-ups

DATE: 19th June 2021

TIME: 5:30 pm to 6.30 pm

MENTOR: Dr. Prateek Deol – Assistant Professor Amity Law School Jaipur

Summary: This session was conducted by Amity University Jaipur. Where they talked about
the Intellectual Property rights and what are the importance of it while running a start-ups for
entrepreneurs.
SESSION 11 : BY BPIBS Knowledge & Innovation Foundation

TOPIC: Digital Marketing

DATE: 19th June 2021

TIME: 12.00 am to 1.30 pm

MENTOR: BKIP team

Summary: This session was conducted by BPIBS knowledge & Innovation foundation. They
touched upon the topic of Digital Marketing, how in the today’s internet/mobile apps era digital
marketing is important. Also if properly utilised how it can be beneficial for any entrepreneur
or a start-up.

SESSION 12 : BY Institute Innovation Council

TOPIC: Building an Innovation / Product fit for Market

DATE: 19th June 2021

TIME: 10.30 am to 12.00 pm

MENTOR: Dr. Pushpendra P.Singh

Summary: This session was conducted by Institute Innovation council. Dr. Pushpendra talked
about building an innovation / Product fit for the market.

SESSION 13 : BY Institute Innovation Council (IIC) of UEM Jaipur

TOPIC: IPR and Technology Transfer

DATE: 21th June 2021

TIME: 11.00 am to 1.00 pm

MENTOR: Prof. (Dr.) G. Uma Devi, Professor, CSE, UEM Jaipur

Summary: This Prof. Dr. G.UMA DEVI is currently working as a Professor in Computer
Science and Engineering department of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM),
Jaipur. She completed her Ph.D from Anna University, Chennai, specializing in Medical Image
Processing. She is known in the field of Big Data Analytics and Data Science, also conducted
several National Webinars.
