Ok class we will play a game. We will
call it “Decoding Game”. The mechanics
is you will change the indicated number
in each box with the corresponding letter.
The letters you will interchange with each
number are depending to the alphabet
order. For examples, 1=A, 2=B, 3=C and
so on. After Changing the numbers with
the appropriate letters you will tell the
word. This one is done for you:

12 15 22 5

L O V E

6 15 15 4 F O O D

3 12 15 20 8 9 14 7 C L O T H I N G

23 15 18 11 W O R K

12 5 1 18 14 9 14 7 L E A R N I N G

13 5 4 9 3 9 14 5 M E D I C I N E

b. Presentation

(The teacher will play a video

presentation entitled “Baa Baa Black
Sheep”)

Okay class, I will play a video

presentation. All you have to do is watch

d. Discussion

Now we are going to talk about uses of

animals.

Animals have been the companions and

helpers of people since the beginning.
Here are some ways in which animals can
help us.

- Animals provide people with

food. Meat, milk, and eggs come
from animals. (Can you give other
foods that come from animals?) (Pupils will give examples)
- People get clothing materials
from animals like wool that we
have in our presentation. Leather
and Silk are also examples. (Can
you give other clothing or things
that come from animals?) (Pupils will give examples)
- Some domesticated animals help
people work and others carry
people from one place to another.
(Can you give other examples of
animals that help people work or
used as means of transportation?). (Pupils will give examples)
- Some animals used for learning
4
and studies purposes. Most wild
animals can also be found at the
zoo for the educational trip of
students like you. (Can you give
examples of animals that you have (Pupils will give examples)
seen at the zoo?)
- Some animals were used as
medicine to cure diseases and for
medical treatment.
- Animals also serve as pet to us.
Many people take care of animals
as source of past time and stress
reliever. (Who has a pet at home?
And what is it?) (Pupils will give examples)

e. Group Activity

Now we will proceed to the group

activity. Our activity will be in a form of
game. I will divide the class into two (2)
equal groups. You will write the name of
the animals on the correct column
according to their uses. Names of animals
will be flashed as choices. You can write
the same name of animals in different
columns. The group with most number of
correct answers and with the shortest time
to finish the activity will be the winner.
You only have 5 minutes to do the
activity and if you are done, you will
present a yell to distinguish your group
name. Are you ready? Yes teacher
