The Purpose of Businesses

Corporations have always been inclined towards making money. It is true that
the money-driven approaches are fundamentally important to gain financial
success. If companies or associates do not work hard to increase profitability,
they would not be able to compete in the market. These days, there are a few
groups accept that the principle focus of trade is to make money and they should
zero in on it. In any case, I thoroughly can't help contradicting this perspective.
I believe that there are other significant components following that ought to be
focused on.

1
Firstly, companies should concentrate on upgrading their people. With the
constant changes, the ability of each individual will bring the business to the
next level. According to Harvard Business Reviews, business ventures which
invested their fund on their employee’s knowledge tend to be succeeding in
achieving the venture’s objective and winning the global market. In addition,
some corporation which only focuses on maximizing income and ignores their
workers’ skills will be deported from global competition. It is clear, therefore,
that the continuous changes demand the collaboration of knowledgeable and
creative people.

Futhermore, corporations should have a duty to fulfill societal needs instead of

solely striving for more and more money. Social responsibilities mean tackling
the global challenges. These most pressing issues include climate change,
poverty, inequity and resources or water scarcity. Take Unilever, a
pharmaceutical multinational company, as an example, this high-profile
organization has had a profound record of giving medical or other financial aid
to the most deprived people of developing countries. As a result of these holistic
and intensive social measures they are becoming increasingly successful in
managing and solving poverty and health related problems in respective
impoverished neighbourhoods.

Finally, business enterprises should take lead in solving environmental issues.

It is their responsibility to check the consequences of their actions and also to
protect environmental resources. For instance, with the develop of industries,
companies mismanage dangerous chemicals by improperly disposing of them,
letting them leak into public air and water spaces, or a number of other ways.

2
As a result, environment is seriously polluted. Therefore, companies must make
this a top concern.

In conclusion, while successful and profitable businesses are fundamentally

important to boost economy by generating revenues through earning more
profit, human, social, and environmental issues should also be included into
their priority list of core plans.
