7. Handling and Storage.

Handling: A minimum of thin coated glove to EN 388 is recommended be worn when handling the
unboxed sticks of compound.
Storage: Store in original packaging, in dry, cool conditions (recommended maximum temperature of
20ºC) and away from direct sunlight or other UV sources.
Expiry date, with above conditions will be a minimum of three years from the date of
manufacture as shown on the reverse of the boxes

8. Exposure Controls/Personal Protection.

Control parameters:
Occupational Exposure Limit:
Mineral oil vapour is likely to be given off if the compound is used above 228ºC.
The OES for “Oil mist, mineral” is 10 mg.m-3 (15 min STEL) 5 mg.m-3 (8 hour TWA LTEL)
Exposure Controls:
Respiratory Protection: When leak sealing, avoid working in too close a proximity to the leak, which may be
transporting the rubber fume out into the immediate area. Whenever possible move
away from the leaking component by at least 1 to 2 metres.
If using in a poorly ventilated areas or in a confined space, forced ventilation should be
provided.
If not available or impractical, a face mask/respirator with organic vapour filter to A1
should be worn.
Hand Protection: A minimum of thin coated glove to EN 388 is recommended be worn when handling
the unboxed sticks of compound. The compound is unlikely to be absorbed or
breakthrough the specified gloves.
Eye Protection: Safety glasses are recommended to be the minimum protection worn when
handling/using the preparation.
