Steps for Installation:

 AC supply of 230 V is required at terminal no. 1 & 2 of TB-1 followed by checking of
DC voltage at terminals mentioned in the drawing (J3 & J4 are +ve and –ve DC voltage
terminals respectively).
 Wiring at TB of marshaling box is to be done and checked as per drawing. 10 core cable
is to be connected in proper sequence and loop of wiring corresponding to +24 V (from
12 no. at TB 3 of relay structure) is to be done with corresponding common wire for
each Alarm & Trip Signal.

SIGNALS. TO BE CONNECTED AT TB
OF RELAY ASSEMBLY.
 Do the settings for OTI and WTI, take Bucholz relay in-service and set PRV keeping DC
supply OFF.
 At TB inside relay assembly, all the wires for alarm and trip signals are to be connected
as mentioned in drawing and in table below:

 The wires coming from CTs of R, Y and B phase and neutral are to be connected 1, 2,
3 & 4 terminals of TB2.
 The 5 no. terminal of TB 4 ( +ve supply for trip circuit) is to be connected to 13 of TB 3
and wire from 6 no. terminal is to be connected to +ve of trip coil (check the contactor
connected to J3 output before connecting +ve of trip coil) .
 Wire from 14 no. terminal of TB 3 is connected to –ve of trip coil as shown in diagram.

 For wiring inside the RMU, looping of wire coming from 13 th terminal of TB 3 should be
done to NO & NC contacts (this wire will act as common).
 1st terminal of TB3 should be connected to NO (in breaker open condition) & 3rd terminal
of TB3 should be connected to NC (in breaker open condition).
 When the wiring is complete as per drawing, connect the laptop with front port of Asihda
relay.
Changes to be made in settings file of the relay according to site:

 Go to GLOBAL -> PORT F

 Change IP address, subnet mask, Default gateway according to details provided.
 Go to SYSTEM CONFIG -> CT/VT Ratio
 Change CT ratio accordingly.
 Go to Group 1
 Change overcurrent and earth fault pickup current accordingly.

 No changes are required in alias file or AProLogic file.

 After uploading setting, alias and AProLogic file check the status by shorting the
Inputs.

Steps to upload patch file:
 Check IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway using HMI.
 Go to Network & Internet Settings -> Ethernet -> Change adapter options -> Ethernet
Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPV4) Properties.
 Assign IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway (Relay’s IP will be Laptop’s Gateway &
relay’s Gateway will be Laptop’s IP).
 Open command Prompt, ping to relay by typing command :
Ping 172.30.29.6(use relay IP accordingly) –t
 If continuous ping exist that means relay is communicating with laptop else check
connection again.
 Go to Global -> Port 1 scroll down to protocol.
 Disable protocol using HMI.
 Now type http:\\ 172.30.29.6(use relay IP accordingly) in web browser.
 Ashida page will open enter username: admin and password: admin#321.
 Go to settings and upload patch file.
 IP of relay will change after uploading patch file, set the desired IP and enable
protocol.

Steps to upload xml file:

 Assign IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway using HMI or using setting file.
 Go to Network & Internet Settings -> Ethernet -> Change adapter options -> Ethernet
Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPV4) Properties.
 Assign IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway (Relay’s IP will be Laptop’s Gateway &
relay’s Gateway will be Laptop’s IP).
 Open command Prompt, ping to relay by typing command :
Ping 172.30.29.6(use relay IP accordingly) –t
 If continuous ping exist that means relay is communicating with laptop else check
connection again.
 Open xml file in notepad and edit IP, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and ASDU
address.
 Now type http:\\ 172.30.29.6(use relay IP accordingly) in web browser.
 Ashida page will open enter username: admin and password: admin#321.
 Go to settings and upload xml file.
Alternate way to upload xml file:
 Assign IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway to relay using setting file or manually
using front buttons.
 Change Config Port to Port 1.
 Connect relay using LAN cable to LAN port.
 Go to Network & Internet Settings -> Ethernet -> Change adapter options -> Ethernet
Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPV4) Properties.
 Assign IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway (Relay’s IP will be Laptop’s Gateway &
relay’s Gateway will be Laptop’s IP).
 Connect relay using Ethernet by providing relay IP and relay port 32032.
 Open command Prompt, ping to relay by typing command :
Ping 172.30.29.6(use relay IP accordingly) –t
 If continuous ping exist that means relay is communicating with laptop else check
connection again.
 Open xml file assign IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway.
 Go to IEC 104 group change ASDU Address then run and update the file.
 Finally upload the file by clicking upload on top left corner.

ASDU ADRESS to be updated

Router Configuration:
 Open modem by assigning laptop IP 10.10.10.11, subnet mask 255.0.0.0 and
gateway 10.10.10.10 to your laptop.

 Check the ping of the modem for checking proper connection.

 Open web browser and type http:\\ 10.10.10.10 modem configuration page will
open.
 Go to Tools -> Configuration Profiles -> Import files, then import the given xml file
(APR 600-17KB) and reboot.
 Open router again go to tools -> Restricted shell, change enabled to on, Check the
tick of the boxes given in the following pic and submit.

 Go to General settings change hostname according to IP as shown in following

picture.
 Go to Network -> Ethernet LAN assign IP and subnet mask.

 Go to Network -> Mobile WAN change APN type from automatic to manual.
 Go to Network -> L2TP-VPN create new file edit basic information name, server
IP and port according to the image below.
 Change MTU to 1500 and submit.
