John: Thanks Pedro, my visit to your company is to know a little
about your supply chain.
Pedro: Of course, let's start then.
The Strategic Management of Logistics The strategic management
of logistics are activities that allow the organization to define and
achieve the vision, through the analysis of its strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
John: How to carry out strategic logistics management?
Pedro: The evaluation of logistic processes to define paths and
identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
It is important to analyze in a general way the logistic process at the
same time as the company environment, where it allows to identify
the different strategies to follow for the continuous improvement of
each process, since these work independently, but all depend on
each other for compliance of the mission, therefore, each and every
one of the process is of great importance.
John: What is the procurement process?
Pedro: Is the logistics activity that includes the completion of orders,
transport and storage of raw materials and other necessary supplies
to start the production process.
John: How does production logistics work?
Pedro: The logistics of production is that logistic process that plans,
implements and controls, in a most efficient and efficient way
possible, the transformation of incoming products such as raw
materials, inputs and information in outputs, that is, products or
finished services, available for consumption and enjoyment by end
users.
John: What is distribution logistics?
Pedro: the distribution logistics of our company is responsible for
managing the flow of finished products from warehouses to
customers. Therefore, it also includes storage and transport
activities.

John: What controls do you have in the supply chain?

Pedro: Our company has logistics management indicators, which
allow us to control all the processes of the supply chain.
John: Who makes the purchases of the raw material?
Pedro: The purchase of the raw material is made by the personnel
of the Supply Department.
John: When do you make purchases of raw materials?
Pedro: To determine when we must buy raw materials, we have
software that manages and controls our inventories, preventing us
from having enough supplies.
John: Where do you store your finished products?
Pedro: Our finished products are stored on shelves in the
warehouse
John: why is the finished product stored on shelves?
Pedro: Because the goods must be well stored and we must
optimize the storage spaces so that it is more profitable to store our
stock of inventories.
John: What is the hardest product to store?
Pedro: The most difficult products to handle are refrigerated
products, because they require to have control of their temperature
for their conservation.
John: It is a company with excellent logistic management I see that
they have all their processes controlled.
Pedro: Yes John all our processes are controlled from our integral scorecard,
which is aligned with the company's strategy
