“Make an analysis of social phenomenon using at least two approaches from the social science.

Social phenomenon of phenomena are the constantly evolving individual and external influences
that significantly affect our behaviors and opinions. In addition, social phenomenon or phenomena can be
caused by politics, historical events, and behaviors of others.
In general, these phenomenon/phenomena creates a great changes in one’s behavior or opinions
that can cause into a incommodity. The example of this is “racism” which is common in the Philippines.
Racism is defined as prejudice, discrimination or antagonism directed against a person or people on the
basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or
marginalized.
From the definition itself the word “racism” is a negative thought into a certain thing particularly
in human being which is different or in some other word it has a “unique” appearance that is not usually
seen in our community or society. Based on my observation and experienced especially in our
community, some of the indigenous people/group especially the “Ita”, “Aeta”, or what we called in our
local dialect “Pugut” in Ilocano are often subject of racism and discriminated. In a particular reason where
they have their unique beauty and appearance which are not acknowledge by other people. The following
is an example of discrimination and racism which experienced of the said indigenous people. Because of
poverty and lack of food in their home/place, these people are forced to work even in a small amount of
wage that are not inclined in their works.
This action of racism should be removed and specially avoid. Each and every individual are
unique and created equally which we are deserved to be respected by everybody.
