Part A
1. Solve the following integral:

3. Solve the following differential equation

Part B
5. For any three vectors show that, (𝐴̅ × 𝐵 ) × 𝐶̅ = 𝐵 (𝐴̅. 𝐶̅ ) − 𝐴̅(𝐵 . 𝐶̅ ).
6. Prove that, ∇⃗ ∙ ∇⃗ × A = 0 where 𝐴⃗ is a vector given by 𝐴 𝚤̂ + 𝐴 𝚥̂ + 𝐴 𝑘 .

7. If 𝐹⃗ = 3𝑥 𝚤̂ + (2𝑥𝑧 − 𝑦)𝚥̂ + 𝑧𝑘 find the work done under 𝐹⃗ in moving a particle along
the straight line from (0, 0, 0) to (2, 1, 3).
8. Using Green’s theorem evaluate ∮ 𝑥𝑦 + 𝑦2 𝑑𝑥 + 𝑥2 𝑑𝑦 along the triangular path C

traced in anti-clockwise direction by the points (0, 0), (1, 0) and (1, 1).
