THÌ HIỆN TẠI TIẾP DIỄN

1. Cấu trúc:
- Khẳng định (+): S + is/am/are + Ving + 0
- (-): S + is/am/are + not + Ving + 0
- (?): Is/Am/Are + S + Ving + 0?

2. Cách sử dụng:
- Diễn đạt 1 hành động đang diễn ra ngay tại thời điểm nói
VD: I am studying now
VD: My mother is watching on TV
- VD: I often go to school by bike, but today I am walking to school.
- VD: I am travelling to Ho Chi Minh city next week
- “always”, “continually”
VD: He is always smoking in the office
- VD: The gas price is rising
3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết:
- Now = at right now = at right time = at the moment = at present
- At + giờ cụ thể: at 12 o’clock
- Look! Watch! Listen! Be quiet!...
VD: Look! The bus is coming
4. Cách chia Ving:
- Khi trong câu có các V, kết thúc là đuôi “e”, trước “e” là một phụ âm, ta bỏ
“e” + ing
VD: rise => rising
- Khi trong câu có các V, phát âm là một âm tiết, tận cùng là một phụ âm và
trước phụ âm đó là một nguyên âm, ta gấp đôi phụ âm cuối, rồi thêm “ing”
VD: sit => sitting
Cut => cutting
Get => getting
- Khi trong câu có các V, phát âm là hai âm tiết, tận cùng là một phụ âm,
trước phụ âm là 1 nguyên âm, ta gấp đôi phụ âm cuối rồi them “ing”
VD: travel => travelling
Prefer => preferring
- V kết thúc là đuôi “ie” ta chuyển “ie” => “y” + ing
VD: lie => lying (nằm)
 Die => dying
Chú ý:
- Các V không được phép chia thêm “ing”, mà chỉ thường chỉ chia ở HTĐ là:
+ V yêu thích ghét: love = adore, like, hate,…
+ V chỉ tri giác, giác quan: hear, smell, see, taste, touch, understand, remember,
…
+ Các V khác: want, wish, appear, believe, forget, depend, belong, contain,
hope, lack, mean, need, seem, suppose, realize

6. Bài tập thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

Bài 1: Hoàn thành các câu sau sử dụng động từ trong ngoặc ở thì hiện tại tiếp
diễn.
