1. Explain this quote and how does it related to practice?

For me the quote says that discipline is doing what you don't want to
do in pursuit of what you want. In order for you to achieve your goals
and accomplishments, you should learn how discipline yourself. Same
as in practice, if you are determined to achieve the results, you should
learn how to discipline yourself.

2. Perform the different basics in Karatedo and answer these following


questions:

A. How important to maintain proper balance in stances karatedo?

Proper balance in stances is very significant in karatedo because it


measures your power, fast accurate, and smoothly executed
techniques.

B. In doing the out-in block, what are the muscles in your hand or
extremities involved, when the contractions and extensions
happened and when force is highly applicable?

When I did out in block skill, the main involved muscle that affects
on my hand was my arms. In terms of contractions and extensions
and when force is highly applicable, it must have a strong arms.

C. How does blocking plays a major role in mastering the skills in


karatedo?

Blocking really plays a major role in mastering the skills in karatedo


because it stops or deflects the opponent’s attack for the purpose of
preventing injurious contact with the body.
D. After performing the basic skills, how important these skills to
master for self-development?

For me, after performing the basic skills of karatedo, it made me


feel so confident in terms of self-defense someday if having some
trouble. In my self-development, it made me learn to be aware all
the time and have much patience.
