▪ Open SAP Cloud Platform homepage under: https://www.sap.com/cmp/td/sap-cloud-platform-trial.html and

create a trial account using the Register for free option.
▪ Fill in the form and create an account.

Note: Remember to add a phone number that can be used to receive a passcode for login.

▪ Verify your e-mail.

▪ Your SAP User ID will be generated on
successful verification of the email.
▪ Click on the start free trial button to enter
your free trial account.

▪ On verification that the trial account was

created successfully, a subaccount will be
created containing Organization and Space.
▪ Click Continue to enter your subaccount in SAP
Cloud Platform.

▪ Subscribe to the SAP Intelligent Robotic
Process Automation service.

▪ To access SAP Intelligent RPA public APIs, you

need a service key from the service instance in
the SAP Cloud Platform cockpit.
▪ Create the instance of the intelligent robotic
process automation service from the SAP
Service Marketplace.

▪ Click the name of the newly created instance and

click on the Create Service Key button to create a
new service key.
▪ The service key contains the API URL and the
credentials under the property uaa (under url) that
allow you to obtain a JWT token.

▪ Roles are defined by SAP Intelligent RPA and cannot be modified
▪ Role collections group different roles
▪ Role collections can be created/updated/deleted by an administrator in the SAP Cloud Platform
cockpit
▪ Role collections are linked to users

Role collections management

▪ To create a collection, you need to specify:

– a name (mandatory)
– a description (optional)
▪ To link a role to the collection, you must select
the application identifier (uaa-ipa in the URL)
▪ Save the role collection after assignment

▪ Access to the different functionalities is

granted using the Trust Configuration
option under Security for the subaccount.

▪ Select the identity provider by clicking on the

name
▪ Use e-mail address to show assignments
▪ If the user is not added to the identity service,
it will prompt to add the user
▪ Once the user is added, you can assign the
role collection which we created in the
previous steps
