Roles and Responsibilities:

 Monitoring Active Monitor for any minor & major errors in backups, restores or any other Netbackup
operations.
 Working primarily in UNIX and Windows involving technologies in Symantec NetBackup Tool giving
technical support to various clients, remotely working on wide range of Midrange and Enterprise
Servers.
 Managing file & folder sharing, security & managing users and Group policy settings..
 Backup Solution covers Windows NT/2000/2003, AIX, Solaris, MS SQL, and MS Exchange.
 Configuring the policy attributes for taking the back-up of clients and configuring schedules and
excluding dates to take client back-up.
 Monitoring the tasks using activity monitor in GUI (Java Interface) andperforming daily health checks
on all Master servers & decommissioning of Client and Media servers.
 Audit application backup policies and environments to ensure integrity of backup and recovery
activities.
 Taking care of pending vendor cases like Symantec, and Oracle etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Knowledge on Commvault Database.

 Responsible for co-coordinating with Onsite team.
 Troubleshooting daily backup failure.
 Monthly basis reports to client and customizing the reports as per the client requirement.
 Knowledge on all types of Backups.
 Responsible for working on an Incident, change and Service request tickets within the SLA period.
 Responsible for providing on-call support during the non-business hours.
 Responsible for preparing SOP documents and providing knowledge based training to team members.
 Vendor co-ordination for any kind of hardware in tape library and fixing the issue without breaching
SLA.
 Responsible of preparing client wise data capacity calculation report and investigating for data growth
rate.
 Loading and Recalling Tape media from offsite as required.
 Maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting the Backup issues.
 Monitor the tape drives and produce tape drive issues report.
 Troubleshooting and resolving issues for the tape Libraries.
 Responsible for creating, modifying and deleting the Storage policy.
