Local fix/editing of tetra-elements

in HyperMesh

Create shell elements for modification area


1. Open the faces panel from checks toolbar

2. Select elements to fix

4. Save the selection to the user mark
5. Create shell elements for selection by „find
faces“ 3

Delete tetraeder elements in modification area

1. Open the delete panel by F2 or from toolbar
2. Set the selector button to elements and
open the advanced selection menu 2 4
3. Retrieve the elements from the user mark
4. Delete the selected elements

Modify shell elements


Now you can edit the shell elements on the surface using all available
functions. Two typical modifications are shown below:

collapse small elements using the „replace“ node panel (F3) remesh shell elements using the automesh panel (F12)

Recreate tetraeder for modified area


1. Open the tetramesh panel (3D -> Tetramesh)
2. Select the „^faces“-component with the „fixed
trias/quads to tetra mesh“ selector
3. Click on mesh to recreate tetras
4. Delete the „^faces“-component
