This case study shows firm’s response to challenges they face from declining sales due to low
quality products that threatens their traditional, successful business. This case focuses on low
quality products of the company and the effects of this on their field of business.

As a consultant, I would recommend following strategies for the company

Causes of the Problem


Lack of knowledge or skills – the employees didn’t know how to use or operate the machines
or tools that may cause defects in the products.
ENVIRONMENT
Competition from other firms – TOYS, Inc. is known on their quality products. Due to the
malfunctioning toys delivered to the customers, they tend to choose buying toys from other
companies.
Changes in customer taste – Customers tend to buy gadgets instead of toys.
PRODUCTION
Poor quality control – Inspecting the products can determine if the product has defects
before it is shipped to the customers.
Instrument errors – In automated process, an instrument error can occur which can be the
cause of the defected products.
Human errors – In manual process, a human error can occur which can also be the cause of
the defected products.
