1. Prepaid Activities in Portal

I. Introduction
Prepaid application package has been successfully implanted under the module Web Self
Service Portal (also popular as WB Web Portal) in WBSEDCL.

This will help prepaid consumers of WBSEDCL to avail a host of online services including
energy recharge , account balance view, View Payment History , View Voucher generation
history and view basic consumer specific information.

The above mentioned services can be availed after registration in the WBSEDCL Web Portal.

NTSECL will have to provide a hyperlink in the in their existing web site (http://www.ntescl.nic.in/)
as depicted in the figure below.

II. Prepaid Self Registration using Consumer Id

 A WBSEDCL Employee with sufficient access rights has provision to register.
 This facility is applicable only for Pre-paid consumers.
 Already registered user can not register again with the same consumer Id.
The end user has to fill up the following fields as shown in the following step:
Step1:

 Navigate to Prepaid Self Registration page.

 If user wants to register using Meter Number, Click on the link below “Register using
your Meter Number”.

 Otherwise provide a valid Consumer Id and continue.

Step 2:
Upon successful data validation the end user will be shown another field where the user have to
provide a valid Installation Number/Installation Type.

Step 3:

 Provide the valid Installation No against the consumer Id already given and click continue.

 A field shows for OTP verification.

Step 4:

 Provide a valid mobile number (Mobile number should be numberic and of 10 digits)and click on
‘send OTP’.

 OTP will be sent to the mobile number and a success message will show on the screen and a
field will show to provide the valid OTP.

 In case the consumer did not get any OTP then click on ‘Resend OTP’.

Step 5:
Provide the valid OTP sent to the mobile number and click on ‘Submit’.

Step 6:
A field containing User Details will show with input fields of Email Id and Password as shown below:

Step 7:

 Provide the details shown in the screen.

 Password should be in 6-14 characters and alphanumeric.

 Retype Email should be identical to E-mail.

 Retype Password should be identical to Password.

 Provide all the details correctly and click on confirm.

Step 8:

 A success message will show as shown below and the user will be registered.

 An Email will be sent to the provided Email Id and a message will also be sent to the provided
mobile number .

III. Prepaid Self Registration using Meter Serial Number

 A WBSEDCL Employee with sufficient access rights has provision to register.
 This facility is applicable only for Pre-paid consumers.
 Already registered user can not register again with the same consumer Id.

Step1:

Click on the link „Recharge using your Meter No‟ given in the Self Registration page.
On page there is an input field for meter serial number.

Step2:

 Provide valid Meter Serial No and click on Submit.

 All existing data (Consumer Id, Name, Address, Email, Phone No) are fetched and
shown.

 A field is shown for OTP verification

Step3:

 Provide a valid mobile number (Mobile number should be numberic and of 10 digits)if mobile
number is not registered before and click on ‘send OTP’.

 OTP will be sent to the mobile number and a success message will show on the screen and a
field will show to provide the valid OTP.

 In case the consumer did not get any OTP then click on ‘Resend OTP’.

Step4:
Provide the valid OTP sent to the mobile number and click on ‘Submit’.

Step5:
A field containing User Details will show with input fields of Email Id and Password as shown below

Step6:

 Provide all the details shown in the screen.

 Password should be in 6-14 characters and alphanumeric.

 Retype Email should be identical to E-mail.

 Retype Password should be identical to Password.

 Provide all the details correctly and click on confirm.

Step 7:

 A success message will show as shown below and the user will be registered.

 An Email will be sent to the provided Email Id for successful registration.

IV. Home Page

 Log In using valid credentials and navigate to home page.

 Account, General and Technical information are shown in this page.

V. View Account Balance

 Log In using valid credentials and navigate to View Account Balance.

 All existing data (Meter Serial No, Available Balance, Last Payment Date) are fetched
along with the Consumer Id.

VI. Online Prepaid Recharge

 Log In using valid credentials and navigate to Online Prepaid Recharge.

 On page the current balance of the consumer is shown and there is a field to enter
voucher amount with a submit button.

Step1:

 Voucher amount should be multiple of 100.

 Minimum Amount to be added in wallet is INR 500.

 Enter the voucher amount and click on Submit

Step2:

 On submit there will be Pop-up which will show the „Total Payable Amount‟.

 Click OK to proceed

Step3:

 After clicking on OK, the user should choose the payment gateway and agree to all the
terms and conditions and click on Confirm.

 The transaction charge will change according to the payment Gateway.

Step4:

 After confirmation there will be a pop-up for redirecting to another page for completing
the payment.

 Click on to proceed.

Step5: After clicking OK it will redirect to the payment page of the selected gateway. Here for
example Paytm is the selected payment gateway.

VII. Generate Voucher

 Log In using valid credentials and navigate to View Generate Voucher.

 Consumer's wallet balance is fetched along with a button to [Generate Voucher] .

 Consumer cannot generate voucher if wallet balance is below 500

Step1:

 Click on ‘Generate Voucher’.

 A success message will show conataining the voucher code.

 There will be a button to view the voucher Receipt

Step 2:

 Click on „View Voucher Receipt‟

 The voucher receipt will show as a pdf.

VIII. Online Payment History

 Log In using valid credentials and navigate to Online Payment History

 All existing data (Bill Month, Invoice Number, Amount, Pay Reference, Transaction Number,
Receipt Type, Payment Date) will be fetched along with the Consumer Id with a 'VIEW'
button to view all payment details.

 Click on view to download the Payment Receipt, The payment receipt will show as a pdf.

IX. Voucher Generation History

 Log In using valid credentials and navigate to Online Payment History

 All existing data (Contract account number, Name, Location code, Voucher code, Amount,
Collection agency code/name, View Receipt button) will be fetched along with the
Consumer Id with a 'VIEW' button to view all payment details.

 Click on View to download the Voucher Receipt. The voucher receipt will show as a
pdf.
