Campbell Chamber
Honors Rotarian of the
Year
Janine Payton was honored on
Saturday night, March 19, at the
Campbell Chamber of Commerce’s
“Celebrate Campbell 2011” dinner at
Villa Ragusa. The Chamber annually
honors a Citizen and Business of the
Year for Campbell and also honors
outstanding members of area Service
Clubs.
Janine was joined at the event
by fellow Rotarians and former
honorees Jim Morelan, Bill Highley,
and Phil Nielsen, as well as
President Ravi Chari, President-
elect Dr. Susan Klear, members Bill
Ellington, Ann Height, James
Everts and Mayor Jason Baker.
District 5170 Walks to 4-Way Test, but that the

here in Santa Clara County could
not be dampened.
A hundred intrepid souls
braved the chilling cold and near Campbell Rotary was represented

9:00 in the morning on Sunday,
March 20 to register for the $25
walk. Each registrant received a
commemorative T-Shirt, pin and
bracelet. Just before beginning
the mile + walk to San Jose’s City
Hall, Governor Hassler greeted
the crowd by telling them that “it
will not rain on us today.....but it
might snow!” At the end of the
march he admitted that his
