1. ) Research the company and your interviewers

Company profile and history- Universal Robina Corporation (URC)

ASEAN and Oceania markets. It is among the Philippines' pioneers in the

established Universal Corn Products Inc. in 1954, a cornstarch manufacturing
plant in Pasig City.

feed, and other related products.

UNIVERSAL ROBINA SALES ASSOCIATE JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Able to handle assigned area and directly manage Groceries and Distributors
Able to market our products and to develop new accounts
Able to understand market dynamics and consumer preferences on Bread
Products
Knowledgeable in troubleshooting baking related concerns, but not highly
required.
Should initiate and lead baking demonstration and seminars geared towards
promoting our Bread brands in the assigned area.
STAR METHOD

Situation: Set the scene and give the necessary details of your example.
Task: Describe what your responsibility was in that situation.
Action: Explain exactly what steps you took to address it.
Result: Share what outcomes your actions achieved.

The Interviewer Says: “Tell me about a time when you had to be very


strategic in order to meet all of your top priorities.”

Situation: “In my previous sales role, I was put in charge of our booth to


manage and sale our products, on top of handling my daily sales and
responsibilities.”

Task: “The goal was to fulfill the expectation of my teacher and complete the
task

Action: “In order to do that, I had to be very careful about how I managed all
of my time. So, I blocked off an hour each day on my calendar to dedicate
solely to the assigned role that was given to me. During that time, I worked on
marketing strategies, communication skills. Doing this gave me enough time to
chip away at that responsibility, while still handling my normal tasks.”

Result: “As a result, the product that we sell was sold out two weeks ahead of
the deadline and I finished the expectation of my teacher ahead of my sales
goal.”

QUESTIONS:

1. ) Tell me about yourself


“I am loyal, hard-working, professional and conscientious and, having studied the job
description for this role in detail, I feel the attributes I possess are a strong match.
Whilst at work, I am someone who takes pride in delivering each task to a high
standard and I achieve this by working closely with other people within the team. I
also make sure I obtain a clear brief from my manager or supervisor as to what they
want to me to achieve whilst working in the role I am employed. If successful, I am
looking forward to learning the role quickly and getting to know as much about your
products and services, so I can start contributing and making a positive impact within
the organization.”

A.) Start by describing your background with a summary of your most


impressive responsibilities: "I've been a storekeeper at cheche minimart for just over
two months where I greet and seat customers, assess wait times, fulfill to-go orders
and follow services. I love the lively and busy environment—we often have Friday
and Saturday wait times of one hour or more...”
B.) Next, briefly summarize your previous experience with key achievements:
"...Before working at cheche minimart, I worked as a part-time graphic designer .
Working as a graphic designer helps me to develop my customer service skills that
make me good at handling customers, and I've received satisfaction reviews from all
of my clients.

C.) Lastly, express how you found the new job and why it's a good fit for you
and your goals: "...I've enjoyed and grown in my current role, but wish to expand
and utilize my customer service expertise in a sales and marketing skill. I am
interested in your corporation because of its reputation for delivering first in class
service to your patrons in a lively, dynamic environment.”

2. ) Why do you want to work for our company ?

“Having researched your company you are clearly a leader within the industry and I
feel I would be able to excel within the role and put all of my skills, qualities and
experience to good use. Whilst studying your company online, it is clear to see you
have strong and exciting plans for the future and I would like to be a part of your
journey through the role I am being interviewed for today. Finally, it is also clear that
you support your employees, so they can excel within their roles. There’s lots of
positive comments online about your company and, if I am successful at interview, I
would feel quite proud to have your name on my CV/resume.”

3. ) What makes you unique ?

"What makes me unique is my ability to utilize my strengths in sales to make a


positive impact on the organization as a whole. In my previous role, my co-workers
and manager consistently praised me for being hard-working and analyzing
information, working in groups, and contributing to project strategies. This allowed
me to take on additional responsibilities and eventually led to a promotion."

4. ) Why should we hire you ?

My experience accurately managing sales and skills, hard time schedule makes me
uniquely qualified to succeed in this sales associate position. I understand that you
require a highly organized candidate with acute attention to detail. In my previous job,
I effectively handle different delimmas and able to manage my schedule. I’m
confident in my ability to use my organizational skills to bring efficiency to the
company.
