BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority on this day personally appeared Officer P. Williams.
#2516 (“Affiant"),a police officer/investigalor with the Arlington, Texas, Police Department,
who after being duly sworn on cath deposes and says that AFFIANT HAS GOOD REASON TO
BELIEVE AND DOES BELIEVE THAT:
On or about June 23, 2021, in the City ofArlington, Tarrant County. Texas, CAMERON
LAVON STEPHENS, a black male with the date of birth i (“Suspect”) did
then and there commit the offenseofMurder, a Felony, in that the suspect did then and there
intentionally or knowingly cause the deathofan individual, ISSN. by shooting him.
MY BELIEF AS AFORESAID IS BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING FACTS AND
CIRCUMSTANCES:
On or bout June 23, 2021, at approximately 19:03 hours, Officer Borowiec, an off-duty
Adlington Police officer, notified dispatchof a shooting in progress in the parking lot of
Hurricane Harbor, 1800 E. Lamar, Axlinglon, Tarrant County, Texss. Officer Borowice
witnessed a fight, followed by agunshat. He requested additional units, as well as Emergency
Medical Services (EMS) The
victim, ‘was later pronounced dead. Said
offensewas reported tothe Arlington Police Department asCaseNo. 2021-01740732.
Affiant, Det. S. Simmons, and Det. G. Gildon were notifiedoftheoffense and ed for
further investigation. At the scene, patrol officers identified four subjects|
[I 2 subsequently led to the shooting. All four subjects have been i can
produced for court testimony. The four were transported to the police station for questioning. It
was determined that the four were associatesofthe victim.
The witnesses were questioned separately; each gave comparable accounts. Witness | drove to
Hurricane Harbor to pick up Witness4. Witness |wasaccompanied by front passenger, Witness
Witness 3. Uponarrivingto the front-loading zoneof Hurricane Harbor, Witness 1 and Witness
3 saw frends they grew up with. Whilethe group conversed, an unknown black male, parked in
anearbyparkingspaceyelled outsomething tothecffectof,“Hey. Ya'll gotbeefwith 2100 or
Famous John?" No one in the group was familiar with what the unknown male was talking
sbout.
Oneofthegroup's associates, Witness 5,whohas been identified andcanboproduced forcourt
testimony, told the unknown suspect that ioone was awareofwhat he was talking about, and no
one inthegrouphasanybeefwith anyone. The unknown male asked Witness § who he was
talkingtoandbeganwalkingoverto thegroup. He lookedatthegroupandbelievedheknew
oneofthemalesfromIrving Witness§againtoldhimthatnooncknew him,andheshould go

court) were walking aca the parking lot where the offense took lace. The Hispanic male heard
a disturbance in the parking lot and saw a black male run to his car and retrieve gun. The black

Tho group identified the unknown subject as a black mal, approxinately 62", approximately
200.220 bs, with a muscular build. His air wasshorteron the sides but mushroomed info an

fom the group Detectives interviewed fumily membersa the hospital. While
doing 50,a unknown IMGIIGUAY sent amessage toneofthe family membersthat included a
social media profil of an individual belived to be the shooter at th scene. Affent performed
social mediasearchand (ound numerous profiles ith the same, unique name, Inone ofthe
profiles, the name, “Cameron Stephens”was included.
Datsbese searches were conducted for Cameron Stephens. He was located and fully identified as
Cameron Lavon Stephens, a black male, ee He possesses Texas DLIES.
‘Cameron's DL shows him Lobe 61, 236 Is. His photo shows his hur a beingshor on the
sides and long ontop, in an fro-type syle.The description was identical to what the group
previously described.
Photo lineups were created using Cameron's DL photo, and the likeness of five other individuals
with simile physical characteristics. On June 23, 2021. 3 lineup was shown tothe Hispanic male
a who withessedtheoffense. The Hispanic male identified

On June 24, 2021, Affiant and Det. G. Gildon contacted Witness 5. Witness 5 was shown the
photo lineup by Det. D. Kubinsky. Witaess 3 identified Cameron as the individual who asked the
