DIESEL ENGINE

the way it works is:

 The first step is called the suction step. This process is when the piston moves from the top

dead center (TDC) to the bottom dead center (TMB) which causes the combustion chamber

to enlarge

 The second step is called the compression stroke, the process when the piston moves from

the TMB to TDC. In the compression stroke, the inlet and exhaust valves are tightly closed.

 Third, namely the business step, when the piston is already at TDC, the temperature and air

pressure are very high. At this time, diesel is sprayed from the injector to the combustion

chamber.

 The final step is exhaust, the piston moves from the TMB to TDC with the exhaust valveopen.

The movement of the piston causes the remaining combustion gas to come out. Then return

to the first step, the intake step.

the role of its four main components:

 Cylinder block : This component becomes a primary component for placing various engine
compartments that support machine work processes.
 Cylinder head : the cylinder block closing component is in charge of closing the cylinder cavity,
where the closed space is the combustion chamber. So, with this cover, combustion can occur.
 Piston & connetcting rod : The piston functions to adjust the volume in the cylinder. While the
connecting rod functions to continue the up and down motion of the piston towards the
flywheel.
 Crankshaft : the role of the crankshaft is to change the motion of the piston
