Aluminum pipe

is defined by its internal diameter (ID) or bore because it's used

for transporting fluid or other media. It is commonly used in Aerospace,
automobile, and rail transportation manufacturers make use of aluminum tubing in
fuselage, hydraulic systems, and fuel lines, and its heat-conductive capabilities
render it a good alternative to steel or other heavier metals in refrigerators, engines,
and HVAC systems.

Ambient Temperature is the air temperature of any object or environment where

equipment is stored. The adjective ambient means "relating to the immediate
surroundings." Also sometimes referred to as the ordinary temperature or the
baseline temperature, this value is important for system design and thermal
analysis.

Anemometer is an instrument that measures wind speed and wind pressure.

Anemometers are important tools for meteorologists, who study weather patterns.
They are also important to the work of physicists, who study the way air moves.

Asphalt a mixture of dark bituminous pitch with sand or gravel, used for surfacing
roads, flooring, roofing, etc.

Bituminous it is containing, or of the nature of bitumen.

Chimney a vertical channel or pipe that conducts smoke and combustion gases up
from a fire or furnace and typically through the roof of a building.

Embedded (of an object) fixed firmly and deeply in a surrounding mass;

implanted.

Environmental parameters provide information regarding the system's internal

state and surroundings. Information on the internal state includes the transmission
rate, SNR, and BER. Information on the system's surroundings includes the
channel occupation and channel response.

Heat islands are urbanized areas that experience higher temperatures than outlying
areas. Structures such as buildings, roads, and other infrastructure absorb and re-
emit the sun's heat more than natural landscapes such as forests and water bodies.
Infrared thermometer is a thermometer which infers temperature from a portion of
the thermal radiation sometimes called black-body radiation emitted by the object
being measured.

Parameter a numerical or other measurable factor forming one of a set that defines
a system or sets the conditions of its operation.

Pavement the hard surface of a road or street.

Prototype a first, typical or preliminary model of something, especially a machine,

from which other forms are developed or copied.

Radiation the emission of energy as electromagnetic waves or as moving

subatomic particles, especially high-energy particles which cause ionization.

Solar radiation is radiant energy emitted by the sun from a nuclear fusion reaction
that creates electromagnetic energy.

Thermal Radiation is electromagnetic radiation generated by the thermal motion

of particles in matter. All matter with a temperature greater than absolute zero
emits thermal radiation. Particle motion results in charge-acceleration or dipole
oscillation which produces electromagnetic radiation

Turbulent flow, type of fluid (gas or liquid) flow in which the fluid undergoes
irregular fluctuations, or mixing, in contrast to laminar flow, in which the fluid
moves in smooth paths or layers. In turbulent flow the speed of the fluid at a point
is continuously undergoing changes in both magnitude and direction.

Variation of solar intensity The total energy coming from the Sun only varies by
about 0.1% over each 11-year cycle. For a long time scientists didn't notice it
either, which is why the Sun's intensity is called, ironically, the "solar constant."

Windspeed in meteorology, wind speed, or wind flow speed, is a

fundamental atmospheric quantity caused by air moving from high to low pressure,
usually due to changes in temperature. Wind speed is now commonly measured
with an anemometer.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the world's third-most widely produced

synthetic plastic polymer (after polyethylene and polypropylene). PVC comes in
two basic forms: rigid (sometimes abbreviated as RPVC) and flexible. The rigid
form of PVC is used in construction for pipe and in profile applications such as
doors and windows. It is also used in making bottles, non-food packaging, food-
covering sheets, and cards (such as bank or membership cards). It can be made
softer and more flexible by the addition of plasticizers, the most widely used
being phthalates. In this form, it is also used in plumbing, electrical cable
insulation, imitation leather, flooring, signage, phonograph records, inflatable
products, and many applications where it replaces rubber. With cotton or linen, it is
used in the production of canvas.
