“Installation & Programming Procedures for Prietest Touch”

Follow the steps mentioned below for installation


Initially user needs to extract all the files and folders from the zip folder provided to the user by the
company. Copy those folders on the desktop for easy browsing.
It will create two folders on the desktop namely-

A] FOUSB folder

This FOUSB folder consists of following contents as shown in the below screen-
B] And “Prietest Touch” folder

This “Prietest Touch” folder consists of following contents as shown in the below screen-
“INSTALLATION OF FOUSB DRIVERS”
To install the USB Drivers for FOUSB follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1:

 Switch OFF the instrument.


 Remove the Optical 26 pin FRC cable.
 Remove the Printer 26 pin FRC cable.
 Remove the Jumper JP1.
 Place the Jumper JP4.
Remove 26

 Disconnect the 5V printer power supply of the Printer.

Disconnect 5V

 Connect USB cable from USB output of instrument to USB socket of computer.
 Once this connection is done switch ON the instrument.
 If the steps are followed as above then the screen of the instrument will appear to be blank, which
implies that the steps followed are correct.

Step 2:
Use following procedure to install FOUSB.

1. Right Click on “My Computer” and select Manage option as shown below-

2. Now select “Device Manager” as shown in the below screen-


After selecting the “Device Manager” it displays the screen as shown below-

3. Following screen appears in order to install the FOUSB


(*NOTE: This pop-up messages appears only for a fraction of seconds)

4. Right click on “Flash Over USB” from Other Devices


5. Now select “Update Driver Software…..” option as shown in the following screen-

6. It will ask the user whether to search the drivers automatically or browse for the path for updating
the software.
7. Select ‘Browse my computer for driver software’ – Locate and install driver software manually.

8. It displays the screen as shown below. Select “Browse’’ button. In “Browse” provide the path
of USB Drivers .
(Remember, these drivers are present in FOUSB folder present on the desktop).
This path is visible in small window, which is adjacent to “Browse” button.
9. After selecting ‘Browse’ button it will display the browse window as shown below. This window
helps the user to browse for the appropriate path.

10. Select FOUSB folder present on the desktop.


11. Select specific location (ie. user needs to select USB Drivers from FOUSB folder present on the
desktop) and then Click on “OK” button.

12. Click on “Next>” button to proceed further.


13. Following screen appears once you browse for the appropriate path.

14. Select “Install this driver software anyway” to proceed further.


15. Wait till software gets installed.

16. Finally windows have successfully installed the “Renesas Flash-Over-USB for M30245F”
Click on “Close” button to close the Windows.
17. In ‘Universal Serial Bus controllers’, user can view the status of drivers installation
“Renesas Flash-Over-USB for M30245F” (ie. USB Drivers for FOUSB)

18. Finally Switch OFF the instrument.

How to use FOUSB Application to program “*.mot” file.
 Switch OFF the instrument.
 Remove the Optical 26 pin FRC cable.
 Remove the Printer 26 pin FRC cable.
 Remove the Jumper JP1.
 Place the Jumper JP4.
Remove 26

 Disconnect the 5V printer power supply of the Printer.

 Connect USB cable from USB output of instrument to USB socket of computer.
 Once this connection is done switch ON the instrument.

To load the “LoadFlash4usbAppl_Touch.mot” file follow the steps mentioned below:

19. Open FOUSB folder present on the desktop.


20. It will display the screen as shown below. Open “fousb”
21. It displays Device not detected since the instrument is in OFF condition.

22. Switch ON the instrument


23. Select “OK” button to proceed further.

24. Click on the Open link.


25. Browse for the path of the corresponding flash.mot
26. Select the “LoadFlash4usbAppl_Touch.mot” file and click on “Open” button.
(*NOTE: This file is present in the ‘Prietest Touch’ folder present on the desktop)

27. Select “OK” button.


28. Click on the ‘Program’ Link.

29. Ensure that whether you have selected “Erase→ Program → Verify” from Choose an Operation
and also “Erase *ALL* Blocks” from Erasing Option; if not select the corresponding radio
buttons as shown in the following screen.
30. Click on ‘Program’ button.

31. Click ‘OK’ to finish the process.


32. Switch Off the instrument.

33. Change the position of the Jumper from JP4 to JP1.

34. Do not disturb the connections, let it be as it is.


 Installation Procedure of USB Drivers for Prietest Touch

35. Now Switch On the instrument.


36. It will display Programmer screen on the LCD.

37. Now select “Install USB Driver” option present on the LCD. Select ‘YES’ to install the
USB Drivers for Prietest Touch.

Install USB Driver ? YES / NO

38. After selecting “YES” option, it will detect the new Hardware on the computer as shown
below. It will display the screen as shown below -
(*NOTE: This pop-up messages appears only for a fraction of seconds)
39. At the same time, it will display following screen on the LCD
Program External Flash ver (Version no.)

2 Read
3 Program
4 Clear NVRAM

Installing Driver for USB appl……

40. Right click on “ROBONIK” from Other Devices

41. Now select “Update Driver Software…..” option as shown in the following screen-
42. It will ask the user whether to search the drivers automatically or browse for the path for updating
the software.

43. Select ‘Browse my computer for driver software’ – Locate and install driver software manually.
44. It displays the screen as shown below. Select “Browse’’ button. In “Browse” provide the path
of USB Drivers
(Remember, these drivers are present in ‘Readwell Touch’ folder present on the desktop).
This path is visible in small window, which is adjacent to “Browse” button.

45. After selecting ‘Browse’ button it will display the browse window as shown below. This window
helps the user to browse for the appropriate path.
46. Select ‘Pritest Touch’ folder present on the desktop.

47. Select specific location (ie. user needs to select USB Drivers from “Pritest Touch” folder present
on the desktop) and then Click on “OK” button.
48. Click on “Next>” button to proceed further.
49. Following screen appears once you browse for the appropriate path.

50. Select “Install this driver software anyway” to proceed further.

51. Wait till software gets installed.


52. Finally windows have successfully installed the “Robonik Auto Analyser Cuvette”
Click on “Close” button to close the Windows.

53. In ‘Universal Serial Bus controllers’, user can view the status of drivers installation
(ie. USB Drivers for Pritest Touch)
54. Similarly, it will display following screen on the LCD.
USB driver installation completed.
Please Re-start the instrument……….

In this way after following the above procedure of Installation for USB Drivers, it will activate the
Application used for loading the *.bin file (i.e. Send2pt802E.bin file)
55. Switch OFF the Instrument.

 Programming Procedure of “*.bin” file for Pritest Touch

To load “*.bin” ie. “Send2pt802E.bin” file follow the steps mentioned below:

56. Switch ON the instrument.

57. It will display Programmer screen on the LCD.

58. Now open “PrietestTouchPrg.exe” which is an Application file present in the


“Prietest Touch” folder present on the desktop.
59. It will display following screen where user has to select “USB”.

60. Now select “Read” option from the LCD.

Please Wait……Reading….
61. After selecting the Read option it will change the USB Status from
“Device Interface Dis-connected to “Device Interface Connected”

62. Now click on “Flash Program” button.


63. “Open” dialogue box appears where you have to select “Send2pt802E.bin file”
(*Note: Browse for the appropriate path. Remember this bin file is present in the
‘Pritest Touch’ folder present on the desktop)
64. After selecting the required bin file; click on “Open”
button.
65. The OptionButton –‘Packets being sent’ present on the Application screen starts blinking on
selecting the bin file. And at the same time it will display the string –

“Please Wait ……Reading….” on the LCD.

66. Wait till all the contents of the bin file is transferred to the instrument.
67. Close the Application when “Please Wait ……Reading….” String is disappeared from LCD.
68. Select “Program” from the LCD.

69. It will hardly take max 2 min for Programming.


70. Wait till the string “Please Wait ……Programming….” disappears from the LCD.
71. After this step we need to program mot file 2.804_B_RBK.mot
The procedure is same as programming Loadflash4usbappl_touch6004.mot
Refer steps below :

 Remove the Jumper JP1.


 Place the Jumper JP4.
The procedure is just the same as already done fo Loadflash4usbappl_touch.mot but only
difference is that this time you have to browse the path of 2.804_B_RBK.mot through FOUSB.

 Disconnect the 5V printer power supply of the Printer.

 Connect USB cable from USB output of instrument to USB socket of computer.
All the above steps have already been done for programming earlier mot file .. just ensure that
connections are as shown in the pictures
 Once this connection is done switch ON the instrument.

72. To load the “2.804_B_RBK.mot” file follow the steps mentioned below:

Open FOUSB folder present on the desktop.


73. It will display the screen as shown below. Open “fousb”
74. It displays Device not detected since the instrument is in OFF condition.

75. Switch ON the instrument


76. Select “OK” button to proceed further.

77. Click on the Open link.


78. Browse for the path of the corresponding flash.mot
79. Select the “2.804_B_RBK.mot” file and click on “Open” button.
(*NOTE: This file is present in the ‘Prietest Touch’ folder present on the desktop)
80. Select “OK” button.

81. Click on the ‘Program’ Link.

82. Ensure that you have selected “Erase→ Program → Verify” from Choose an Operation
and also “Erase *ALL* Blocks” from Erasing Option; if not select the corresponding radio
buttons as shown in the following screen.
83. Click on ‘Program’ button.

84. Click ‘OK’ to finish the process.


85. Switch Off the instrument.

86. Change the position of the Jumper from JP4 to JP1.

Remove the
jumper JP4
87. Now connect all the cables that were removed while
programming.
88. Connect the 5V printer power supply.
89. Connect the optical 26 pin FRC cable.
90. Connect the printer 26 pin FRC cable.
91. Check whether both the Jumpers JP1 is Short and JP4 is removed are there respective
positions or not.

92. After connecting all the cables, switch ON the instrument.


93. Goto Utilities and check for the Version No. of the instrument
