Vacancy of Program Officer in DRR

JICA Indonesia Office is an active development partner of the Government of Indonesia,
located in Jakarta. The Office is now seeking qualified and experienced candidates for a
position as follows.

Program Officer (PO):

PO shall work as part of a team to implement ODA (Official Development Assistance)

projects and information gathering/analysis on the following scope:

Job Description:
• Process, Implement, and Administer Technical Assistance, Loans, and Grant
Projects of JICA for the economic and social development in Indonesia,
especially for (but not limited to) the area of disaster risk reduction (e.g. flood,
earthquake, volcanic erapution, tsunami and coastal erosion) in close
collaboration with the related Japanese Officers.
• Review and analyze the Indonesian government’s procurement documents of
JICA ODA loan projects, prepare reports for management decision, and give
technical guidance and advice to the Indonesian government to ensure that the
procurement process is carried out in accordance with JICA procurement
guidelines and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Be engaged in portfolio management and regular communication with the above
relevant executing agencies and coordinating institutions of the Government of
Indonesia (GOI)
• Promote network and communication with stakeholders such as government
counterparts (Ministry of Public Works and Housing, BNPB, BMKG, BAPPENAS,
Ministry of Finance and regional governments as the core counterparts and major
technical line ministries), other offices of JICA, JICA Experts, local consultants,
Japanese consultants and relevant development partners.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Educational background: Bachelor's degree (S1) or Master’s Degree (S2) in any
discipline from a recognized university.
• Working experience: At least (3) three years of experience preferably on
international development cooperation or government services in the similar field.
• Experience of reviewing procurement process of donor-funded projects would be
a plus.
• Adaptable and willing to learn in the multi-cultural environment. Strong interest
and good knowledge of development issues are advantages.
• Good interpersonal/communication skill and strong analytical skills and problem
solving

 • Good managerial skill
• Computer literacy in MS Word / Excel / Power Point
• English fluency (both in speaking and writing). Proficiency of Japanese language
is an advantage.
• Age: Max. 40 years old
• Limited to Indonesian nationals and current residents of DKI Jakarta, Bogor,
Depok, Tangerang, or Bekasi.
