SECTION 4A Special Circumstances

You only need to complete this section if you believe there are special circumstances
surrounding your application that you would like the enrolment committee to consider.

If you intend to seek special consideration you will need to provide, as far as possible, full
independent documentation (perhaps, from your school or doctor etc) of the
important aspects of your claim. We will not contact you to seek further details – it is up
to you to establish your case.

A. Special Curriculum Needs

Do you have a particularly strong background, aptitude, interest and prospects in one or more of the courses available
at St Marys Senior High School which you will not be able to follow at your present/local high school next year?

If so, please provide details of your background, prospects, aptitude or special interest in the course(s) (including
records, references, work samples, etc), together with independent documentation, where possible. NB: If you do not
provide these details, no special consideration will be given. In addition, your Principal will need to certify that the
course(s) or course combinations you want will not be available to you at your present school next year.

Please note: Any offer of priority enrolment made in respect of special subject needs will be conditional upon:

(i) a class being formed for the course(s) within St Marys Senior High School in 2022, and

(ii) your continued enrolment in the course(s).

If you have particular needs (apart from curriculum needs) which you believe can be met at St Marys Senior High
School, but not at your present/local high school, please attach full details with appropriate supporting materials.

Please note: Claims which are based on residential considerations, sibling enrolment, availability of extension courses,
or perceptions about relative quality of teaching and HSC prospects will generally not be successful.
Supporting Documents

1 Report and Year 9 Semester 2 Report). Interim reports will not be accepted. (Please ensure that each page

• If you have been away from school for two years or more an employment reference, TAFE result notice or other
