Introduction

A. Background of the study

Now more than ever, people have become more health conscious and are taking necessary steps
to ensure that they have a sound body and mind – that is why everyday many people come to clinics
or health facility for check-ups and treatments. A medical clinic is primarily devoted to the diagnosis
and care of patients. Basically, patients spend a substantial amount of time in clinics waiting for
services to be delivered by the doctor or health professional. The degree to which the patients are
satisfied with the care received is relative not only to the doctors’ expertise in their field, but also to
the quality of the clinic management. And we all know that as the number of patients continually
increase, managing a clinic can also become increasingly difficult, especially if everything is done
manually.

B. Objectives

The objective of this study is to design and develop an online clinic management solution that will serve as
proposal to help doctors save time and resources with the automation of its daily clinic operations.

Specific Objective:

• To computerize records keeping of patients;

• To allow doctors to retrieve complete patient history instantly;
• To automate billing statement and official receipt;
• To automate medical prescriptions and medical certificate.

• Project Scope

Data and files for usability and portability are computerized and maintained electronically in this
proposed scheme. The supporters, however, restrict only doctors and staff to the online feature of the
scheme. There is no inclusion of web-access for patients. The device has secure physician and employee

log-in. Appointments are now managed in an integrated way and accounting and official refunds as well
as patient prescriptions and medical certificates are streamlined.

Schedule Management Plan

Project schedule for the Online Clinic management system for Patients will be created using Draw.oi and
MS word starting with the deliverables identifies in the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). The schedule plan must
be executed within the time period in the Gantt Chart. The said schedule plan will be utilized to the maximum
potential to achieve Patient needs in the business.

Cost Management Plan

COST MANAGEMENT PLAN Understand the organization's readiness for cost management. Conducting a cost
management assessment that details a hospital system's thinking, alignment, operational planning, overhead
management and other moving parts could determine if a hospital is actually ready to begin a large cost
management initiative.
Define cost-reduction goals based on the organization's capital shortfall. Revenue streams are not what they used
to be for hospitals and health systems, and all costreduction goals should aim to close the capital shortfall as
much as possible. "The goals quantify the performance levels necessary to fund the organization's strategies and
maintain its competitive financial performance," according to the report.
Use internal and external benchmarks to identify possible sources of savings. Reviewing historical trends and
applying global and departmental benchmarks and peer department comparisons can give a clearer picture of
where possible savings could be.
Supplement benchmark data with other data analytics. Benchmarking data, while necessary and helpful, cannot
map a cost management strategy alone. Using several data analyses, with input from medical staff and
department managers, can hone in on costreduction opportunities.
Understand and focus on the key drivers of staffing and productivity problems. Inadequate plans, poor execution
of staffing plans, unclear staffing roles, use of overtime and other staffing and productivity issues drive higher
labor costs, which generally constitute more than half of a hospital or health system's operating expenses.

A. Cost Baseline
College of Computer Studies
Project Management

This section contains the cost baseline for the project upon which cost management will be based.
The project will use earned value metrics to track and manage costs and the cost baseline provides the
basis for the tracking, reporting, and management of costs.

Quality Management Plan

Medical assistants, clinic aides work in clinical settings where they are required to
handle medical records, schedule appointments, and also provide direct patient care under
the supervision of a medical practitioner.

Medical laboratory science professionals (also called clinical laboratory

scientists or clinical laboratory technicians) are highly skilled scientists who
discover the presence or absence of disease and provide data that help
physicians determine the best treatment for the patient.

medical waste include incineration or autoclaving. Incineration is a

process that burns medical waste in a controlled environment. Some hospitals
have on-site incineration technology and equipment available.

pregnancy and, if no complications arise, to give birth with little intervention.

Midwives also care for you and your baby in the first few weeks following the
birth.

Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better
oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries
and extractions and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are
healthy.

Risk Management Plan

Risk management in Clinic Management Sysyem comprises the clinical and administrative
systems, processes, and reports employed to detect, monitor, assess, mitigate, and prevent
risks. By employing risk management, healthcare organizations proactively and
systematically safeguard patient safety as well as the organization’s assets, market share,
accreditation, reimbursement levels, brand value, and community standing.

Deployment of Clinic risk management has traditionally focused on the important role
of patient safety and the reduction of medical errors that jeopardize an organization’s ability
to achieve its mission and protect against financial liability. But with the expanding role of
healthcare technologies, increased cybersecurity concerns, the fast pace of medical science,
and the industry’s ever-changing regulatory, legal, political, and reimbursement climate,
healthcare risk management has become more complex over time.
