1. INTRODUCTION

THE DEADWEIGHT DETERMINATION IS TO-BE CARRIED OUT IN THE PRESENCE OF THE OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE AND MCA AND/OR LR SURVEYOR.

1) NAME OF SHIP & DATE :


• HN 1524 - MAERSK DELFT ABOUT JANUARY 2006
• HN 1574 - MAERSJL DOVER ABOUT MAY 2006

2) PLACE : GEOJE SHIPYARD (AT A OUTFITTING QUAY)

2. GENERAL CONDITION OF SHIP

1) THE DEADWEIGHT DETERMINATION IS TO BE CARRIED OUT UNDER THE CONDITION THAT THE
SHIP IS AS NEAR COMPLETION AS CAN BE ARRANGED.

4) THE VESSEL IS TO BE FLOATING LEVEL WITH SOME TRIM BY THE STERN.


INITIAL LIST SHOULD NOT EXCEED APPROXIMATELY ONE HALF A DEGREE.
WEIGHT TO CORRECT LIST IS TO BE USED WHERE NECESSARY.

5) ALL MOVABLE WEIGHTS ARE TO BE PLACED / SECURED IN THEIR NORMAL STOWED POSITION
AND BOILERS, MACHINERY AND PIPING ARE TO BE AT NORMAL OPERATING LIQUID LEVEL.

3. OBSERVATION

1) WEATHER, DIRECTION AND VELOCITY OF WIND, SEA CONDITION. ,—2

2) THE SHIP'S DRAFT : FORE, MIDSHIP AND AFT. ON BOTH SIDES OF THE SHIP
** DRAFT READINGS ARE TO BE TAKEN FROM A SMALL BOAT ALONGSIDE THE SHIP BY OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE, MCA AND/OR LR SURVEYOR ANO SHI TESTERS.
3) THE SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF THE FLOATATION WATER IS TO BE DETERMINED BY USING THE
CERTIFIED HYDROMETER AT APPROXIMATELY HALF DRAFT AT MIDSHIP, ON BOTH SIDES OF THE
SHIP.

4) TEMPERATURE OF SEA WATER.

5) SOUND ING HE IGHTS OF ALL THE TANKS WHICH CONTAIN LI QU ID.

6) LOCATION AND NUMBER OF PERSON ON BOARD AND THEIR EFFECTS.

7) INVESTIGATION OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WITH THEIR WEIGHTS, KG AND LCG.


A) ITEMS ARE TO BE ADDED.
B) ITEMS ARE TO BE DEDUCTED.
C) ITEMS ARE TO BE RELOCATED.

5. METHOD OF THE LIGHTSHIP MEASUREMENT

THE LIGHTSHIP MEASUREMENT SHALL BE CARRIED OUT BY MEASURING THE DRAUGHT OF THE
VESSEL, BY MEASURING SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF SEA WATER AND BY SUBTRACTING THE WEIGHT
OF TEMPORARILY LOADED ITEMS ON BOARD AND ADDING THE WEIGHT OF UNFURNISHED ITEMS
AT THE TIME OF LIGHTSHIP MEASUREMENT IN THE PRESENCE OF BUYER'S SUPERVISOR.

6. DEADWEIGHT DETERMINATION

THE SHIP'S LIGHT DISPLACEMENT. LCG ARE TO BE DERIVED FROM THE CALCULATION OF
DISPLACEMENT, LCG AT INCLUDING WITH TAKING THE "ITEMS ADDED", "ITEMS DEDUCTED" AND
"ITEMS RELOCATED" IN TO CONS IDERATI ON.

* TRIMMED HYDROSTATIC TABLE SHALL BE USED, AND TO BE SUPPLIED WITH LIGHTSHIP

OIL AND WATER IN E/R SMALL TANKS, MISCELLANEOUS WEIGHTS, ALL BEDDING, ALL LINEN,
ALL COOKS AND STEWARD'S UTENSILS (SILVER WARES, DISHES, GLASSES, POTS, PANS, ETC.),
ALL CONSUMABLE STORE, ALL CHARTS, SPARE OVER AND ABOVE THE RULE AND CLASSIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS.
