pH Record After Treatment :-

1. Spent Acid Neutraliser Tank No. 1 to 5 : 9.0 pH to 10 .0 pH

2. Acid rinse Water & final treatment in Neutraliser : 9.0 pH to 11.0 pH
Tank No. 7 to 8
3. Clarifier : 7.5 pH to 9. pH
4. ETP Outlet Water : 6.5 pH to 8.0 pH

pH Meter In House Callibration Procedure:-

1. Make buffer solution of pH 4.0,7.0 & 9.20 .

2. Making solution of pH 4.0 ,7.0 & 9.20 By adding one buffer capsule of pH 4.0,7.0 & 9.20 in 100 ml
distilled water respectively.
3. Set pH meter in standby mode.
4. Thoroughly clean the electrode tip with water & wipe to almost dry.
5. Immerse the electrode in buffer solution having pH of 7 and adjust the scale reading to 7.
6. Rinse the electrode tip with water and wipe to almost dry.
7. Immerse the electrode in buffer solution having pH 4 or 9.2 and adjust the scale reading to 4 or 9.2.
8. Rinse the electrode tip with water and wipe almost dry.
9. Immerse the electrode in sample solution to be tested allow the scale reading to stabilize.
10. Read the pH accurate to ±0.01.
11. In house calibration should be done quarterly.

Disposal of Sludge:-

i) Fix the HDPE sheet in the dumper & place the dumper under the filter press.
ii) Ensure the HDPE sheet is not damaged.
iii) After collecting the sludge in dumper, send it to sludge pit.
iv) Clean the filter press area and pump out the water to neutralizer tank for further treatment.
v) If any sludge spillage found, collect the sludge and dump it in sludge pit. Spillage area should be
cleaned with lime slurry to prevent land/water contamination.
