About PART 3
It contains all the schemes that have been launched by different state/UTs in
2019 & 2020 related to ARD
Important-
Font in red color indicates the new points that have been added in already
existing schemes (provided in our previous schemes document). This has been
done to make it easy for those aspirants who have read our previous document.
Key Features:
• Under the scheme farmers will be able to pay the due electricity bills of their tube wells in easy
installments.
• Farmers can pay their bill in six installments.
• After all the installments have been made, farmer’s interest will be forgiven.
• Benefits of the scheme are only for those farmers who pay their electricity bills on time.
Key Features:
• The incentives amounting to Rs 7,000 per acre would be given to farmers who quit paddy
cultivation in areas covered by the dark zone in the state.
• The incentive could be given in two instalments — 25% after verification of the crop sown
and 75% before harvesting.
• The incentive will be given only to Gram Panchayats. Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana
Key Features:
• This scheme would involve about 1.50 lakh womenfolk through 5,000 self-help groups.
• Under the scheme, each beneficiary woman will be entitled to get employment under
MGNREGS, besides training to upscale her skill, grants meant to level the hill land, channelise
water, set up a vermicompost pit and to purchase saplings and seeds.
• It is linked with the Centre’s Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme
(MGNREGS) where a woman or her family owning up to one bigha land can grow a backyard
kitchen garden.
• As per estimates, each woman is expected to get an annual cash incentive of Rs 1 lakh under
MGNREGS, which includes Rs 198/ day wage.
• The government’s task force and the Gram Rozgar Sewaks will monitor the beneficiaries.
• This scheme is bound to transform the rural economy of the state and also help in the
economic empowerment of the women at the grassroots level. ‘Panchvati Yojana’
7 Panchvati Yojana
Launch Year: 2020
Launched By: Himachal Pradesh
Aim: To enable senior citizens to spend their leisure time in these parks & gardens.
Key Features:
• Under the yojana, parks & gardens will be established in every development block with
mandatory facilities under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act
(MGNREGA).
• About 100 such parks will be developed in different parts of the state during FY 2020.
Key Features:
• Under the scheme, short-term crop loan up to Rs 2 lakh taken by farmers between April 1,
2015 – March 31, 2019, and short-term restructured crop loan arrears up to September 30,
2019, will be waived.
• But if the principal crop loan amount taken during this period along with the interest
exceeds ₹two lakh, and which has not been repaid by September-end, then those farmers will
not be eligible for waiver.
• Those who pay tax on the income incurred from non-agriculture sector, pensioners whose
monthly income is more than ₹25,000, excluding former servicemen, will also not get the
benefit.
Key Features:
• Under the scheme, Maharashtra government will provide a subsidy of up to 95% on solar
pump sets.
• Maharashtra Government also plans to install one lakh solar pumps.
• Under the Scheme, farmers with less than five acres will have to pay 5% of the cost of a 3 HP
solar pump while farmers with more than five acres will get a 5 HP solar pump for Rs 30000.
• Maharashtra government has also decided to give two LED bulbs, a DC fan and a mobile
charging socket as freebies to farmers.
Key Features:
• The scheme is introduced with the object of helping poor farmers and labourers who are often
deprived of sufficient crop production due to faulty farming practices.
• The scheme provides all farmers with a financial aid of Rs. 5,000 per acre on an annual basis,
which is to be paid in two instalments. The sum of money will be rendered during the sowing
of the Kharif crop and during the Rabi season.
• The scheme facilitates the provision of an insurance policy to all formers and agricultural
workers.
• The scheme also provides for a life insurance cover of Rs 2,00,000 in case of death, irrespective
of the cause, of an earning family member (farmer) aged between 18 and 60 years. Framers
are not required to pay any premium to avail the insurance benefit.
• The monetary benefits will be directly transferred to the bank account of the respective
beneficiary so that the assistance reaches out to the correct person. Moreover, such a practice
abates the role of a middleman.
Key Features
• The applicants will not have to pay any premium amount to avail the benefits.
• On behalf of the farmers, the state government will bear the insurance premium under the
scheme.
• All the beneficiaries under this scheme would be paid insurance in 4 stages and the amount
would be calculated per hectare.
(i) For any losses suffered during planting
(ii) Losses suffered during cultivation
(iii) The losses occurred during the period post-cutting when crops are lying in the field
(iv) Losses caused due to adverse weather situations
• This crop insurance scheme will enable farmers to meet up their losses in case their crops get
damaged due to any reason.
• Through this scheme, the West Bengal Government aims to reduce the suicide rate of farmers
which occurs when farmers losses in their agriculture.
• This scheme will also prevent farmers from falling into the debt trap.
Key Features:
• It is a water conservation scheme that will focus on drought-proofing measures, including
protection and rejuvenation of water bodies.
• Under the scheme, Karnataka government aims to rejuvenate 14,000 waterbodies and
building 12,000 check-dams in next two years.
• It will operate on a four-tier institutional structure with planning and execution committees
being set up at village, taluk, district and state levels.
• A State-level committee headed by the Chief Minister will be established for strategic
monitoring, convergence, policy and programmatic guidance and the committee will design
water conservation strategies for the State in consultation with all stakeholders.
• Under the scheme, scientific approaches will be deployed for water budgeting, water
harvesting and water conservation through the use of geospatial data, satellite imagery,
topographical and geological data.
Key Features:
• Under the scheme, the farmers has to register on the portal and required to upload
information like the name of crop sown, area under cultivation, cropping month, bank account
number and mobile number at Common Service Centres or Atal Seva Kendras or with the help
of Village Level Entrepreneurs by 31st July.
• Each farmer, who registered on the portal get a financial incentive of Rs 10 per acre or part
thereof subject to a minimum of Rs 20 to maximum Rs 50.
• The portal www.fasalhry.in has brought the departments of agriculture and farmers welfare,
revenue, food civil supplies and consumer affairs and science and technology on a single
platform.
16 Saubhagyavati Scheme

Aim: To provide electricity to poor people
Key Features:
• The poor people will have to pay a fixed amount every month for electricity.
• Using of power will not affect the monthly electricity bills.
17 Mo College Programme
Launch Year: 2019

Aim: To promote and facilitate volunteers to give back to Alma Maters (the university, school, or
college that one formerly attended)

Aim: To fight against dengue
Key Features:
• Delhi CM has appealed to Delhi residents to give 10 minutes every Sunday from September 1
till November 15, to ensure there is no stagnant water in their houses or surroundings to
prevent the breeding of dengue-career mosquitoes.
• After inspecting your home at 10am, call 10 of your friends and encourage them too to inspect
their homes.
24 Champions Campaign
Launch Year: 2019
Launched By: Delhi
Aim: To fight against dengue and encourage people’s participation in the campaign.
Key Feature:
• Delhi CM urged people to encourage their friends to inspect their homes on Sunday to clean
stagnant water.
28 Project Gaushala
Launch Year: 2019
Launched By: Madhya Pradesh
Aim: To protect abandoned cows
Key Feature:
• People can adopt a cow for a minimum period of 15 days and can go on supporting it till
animal’s lifetime.
30 Mo Parivar Programme
Launch Year: 2019
Launched By: Odisha
Aim: It is aimed at encouraging environment protection, blood donation and the welfare of Odias in
distress.
Focus Area:
• Environment
• Health Care Services
• Assistance to poor and deprived people
• The government has also kept out top three-tiers of elected representatives from the yojana,
making all MPs and MLAs ineligible to avail it.
• The scheme is not applicable to Sarpanches, Zila and Mandal Parishads & village.
Key Feature:
• Under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, financial assistance will be given to farmers of the state.
• The amount will be distributed to farmers in three instalments.
• The 1st instalment, Rs 7,500, will be credited to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in the
month of May.
• The 2nd instalment of Rs 4000, will be transferred in the accounts in October.
• The 3rd and last instalment of Rs 2,000, will be given in the month of January.
• Earlier, the government announced assistance of Rs 12,500. But now it has been increased to
Rs 13,500 yearly and implement it for 5 years instead of the promised 4 years.
• It will benefit as many as 54 Lakh farmers.
• It will have a joint name i.e. YSR Bharosa and PM Kisan Yojana.
