India, country that occupies the greater part of South Asia. Its capital is New
Delhi, built in the 20th century just south of the historic hub of Old Delhi to serve
as India’s administrative centre. Its government is a constitutional republic that
represents a highly diverse population consisting of thousands of ethnic groups
and likely hundreds of languages. With roughly one-sixth of the world’s total
population, India is the second most populous country, after China.

New Delhi

New Delhi is a city which is in India and its continent is Asia.There is 31,181,000
population in 2021 but the metro area population of Delhi in 2020 was
30,291,000.There are many famous places in New Delhi like Red Fort and Qutub
Minar
 Qutub Minar
Qutab Minar is a minaret that forms part of the Qutub complex. The height of
Qutb Minar is 72.5 meters. It is one of the highest minarets in India with a height
of 73 metres.

Red Fort

The Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of Delhi in India. Emperor Shah Jahan
ordered construction of the Red Fort on an earlier 10th century fort. Red Mahal is
known because of the red stone with which it is built and it is one of the most
magnificent palaces in the world.
Total area in New Delhi is 42.7 km2.Delhi is one of great historical significance as
an important commercial hub. This city was named Raja Dhilu, a king who reigned
in the 1st century. New Delhi is blessed with several gardens and botanical houses
which are the features that Delhi is famous for and it also has good connectivity of
transportation.
Gardens like Lodhi Garden, Garden of 5 senses, Deer Park, Japanese Garden, and
Nehru Garden are a few to mention which are known for their beauty.

New Delhi also has great transportation network. Rikshaw (Cycle, auto and e-
rickshaw), Delhi Metro, Delhi Transport corporation (DTC) buses, and
private/shared cabs are a few to mention.
