Study Questions

- Recalling what had you eaten today for your breakfast, lunch and dinner yesterday, do you
think it is a complete meal based on the classification of nutrients. Write the rationale in
essay form (word count 80-100).

For my breakfast today I have eaten fried rice which consist of rice, carrots, eggs, peas,
garlic, soy sauce and butter. Fried rice is a budget friendly, easy to make complete meal for
it consist of carbohydrate, protein, fats. I also take supplementary vitamins to fully complete
the required nutrients that my body needs. For my lunch I have eaten steamed fish, and for
dinner I have eaten loads of rice with steamed broccoli, I always eat lots of carbohydrates
the night before I go on a 50km+ bike ride.

- Make a simple menu that you want to eat tomorrow for your breakfast, lunch and dinner
that compromises the six essential nutrients.

- Breakfast

o ½ cup Garlic Fried Rice (Carbohydrates)


o 1 Boiled egg (Protein)
o 1 Cup Milk (Minerals)
o 2 pieces boiled baby carrots (Vitamins)

- Lunch
o ½ cup steamed rice (Carbohydrates)
o 4 pieces steamed pork siomai (Protein)

- Dinner
o 1 cup steamed rice (Carbohydrates)
o 4 cuts of pork adobo (Protein)
o ½ cup of warm milk (Vitamins)
