The 40 volt craftsman tool line batteries are interchangeable for the line trimmer, the
chainsaw, the blower and also with the new 40 volt Lawn mower/mulcher! While all of the
batteries are interchangeable, I still can nd no one in customer service who can tell me
how to purchase the higher storage capacity of the 40v Lawn Mower battery, while

if your chainsaw is the Craftsman 40V chainsaw, the batteries are interchangeable, but the
chainsaw batteries are 72 Whours (Work Hours), while the 40V Craftsman Mower
batteries are 90 Whours! The model number on the chainsaw batteries is 900.98026, while
the model number on the mower batteries is 900.98027. I hope this helps. Sears customer

You will need to purchase bar oil separately when you buy the chainsaw! It should be near
the chainsaws in the store.

Hi there! No- the CM 40v battery has a notch in it that prevents the BD 40v Battery from
working in CM 40v units. Thanks!
