SITUATIONS VACANT

University of Engineering and Technology Taxila conducts teaching and research that is internationally
recognized and has a direct bearing on country's industrial, technological and economic development. At
present more than 4000 students of B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D are enrolled in 9 disciplines of engineering at
Taxila, Chakwal and Pind Daden Khan Campuses of the University.

Applications are invited for the appointment against the faculty / admin positions in the University on Contract Basis from the
persons domiciled in the Punjab. The University reserves the right to add or withdraw any post. Age relaxation and higher starting
pay will be considered in suitable cases. The applicants may also apply against Tenure Track System which is open to all the
Pakistani Nationals. The eligibility conditions for TTS are available at website www.hec.gov.pk .

S.N Post Qualification and Experience

1. Professor Qualification: PhD degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation
BS – 21 with PEC
Subjects: Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial
Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering,
Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Agricultural Engineering,
Petroleum & Gas Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering., Farm mechanization,
Engineering Management, Engineering Economics, Architecture , Town Planning
Experience:
Twelve (12) years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution/
college/university
OR
Twelve (12) years professional experience in the relevant field in a national or
international organization out of which 5-years must be teaching experience.
OR
Ten (10) years post PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized
University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the
relevant field in a National or International organization.
Publications:
With 12 research publications (with at least 3 publications in the last 5 years)
respectively, in HEC/PEC recognized journals
2. Associate Qualification: PhD degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation
Professor with PEC
BS – 20 Subjects: Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial
Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering,
Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Agricultural Engineering,
Petroleum & Gas Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering., Farm mechanization,

Experience:
Seven (07) years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution/
college/university
OR
Seven (07) years professional experience in the relevant field in a national or
international organization out of which 2 years must be teaching experience.
OR
Five (05) years post PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized
University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the
relevant field in a National or International organization.
Publications
8 research publications (with at least 2 publications in the last 5 years)
respectively, in HEC/PEC recognized journals.
3. Assistant Qualification: Master’s degree in relevant field from HEC recognized
Professor University/ Institution
BS - 19 Subjects: Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial

Experience:
Two (02) years teaching/research experience in a recognized
institution/university/college
OR
Two (02) years professional experience in the relevant field in a national Or
international organization.
OR
Ph.D in relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution with no
experience
4. Professor Qualification: PhD from HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.
BS-21 Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Pak Studies, Islamic Studies,
English/Communication Skill, Chemistry.
Experience:
a. Fifteen (15) years teaching/research in HEC recognized
University or post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the
relevant field in a National or International organization.
b. At least 8 years Post Ph.D level experience in an HEC
recognized University or postgraduate institution or professional
experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization
will be required. OR
 Ten (10) years post-PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized
University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the
relevant field in a National or International organization.
Publications:
With 12 research publications (with at least 3 publications in the last 5 years) in
HEC recognized Journals.
5. Associate Qualification: PhD in relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution
Professor Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Pak Studies, Islamic Studies,
BS-20 English/Communication Skill, Chemistry.
Experience:
a. Ten (10) years teaching/research in an HEC recognized University
or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field
in a National or International organization.
b. At least 4-years Post-PhD level experience in an HEC recognized University or
post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a
National or International organization will be required.
OR
Five (05) years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized
University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the
relevant field in a National or International organization.
Publications:
With 8 publications (with at least 2 publications in the last five years the HEC
recognized Journals)
 6. Assistant Qualification: PhD in relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution
Professor with no experience.
BS - 19 Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Pak Studies, Islamic Studies,
English/Communication Skill, Chemistry.
OR
Master’s degree (foreign) OR
M.Phil(Pakistan) or equivalent degrees awarded after Eighteen (18) years of
education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from an HEC
recognized University/Institution.
Experience:
Four (04) years teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a
post-graduation Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a
National or International organization.
7. Treasurer Qualification: Charted Accountant/M.Com./M.B.A. from recognized
BS-19/20 university/institution. Ph.D degree holders will be preferred.
OR
B.Com./B.A. with S.A.S.
Experience:
Thirteen (13) years experience of Accounts in BPS-17 and above or equivalent
scales of pay in the Govt., semi-Government /Autonomous Bodies or
public/private sector University/Institution.
OR
Eighteen (18) years, experience of Accounts in responsible post, preferably in a
University/Education Department/ Ministry of Education.
8. Additional Qualification: Charted Accountant/M.Com./M.B.A. from recognized
Treasurer university/institution. Ph.D degree holders will be preferred.
BS-19 OR
(Chakwal B.Com./B.A. with S.A.S.
Experience:
Campus) Thirteen (13) years experience of Accounts in BPS-17 and above or equivalent
scales of pay in the Govt., semi-Government /Autonomous Bodies or
public/private sector University/Institution.
OR
Eighteen (18) years, experience of Accounts in responsible post, preferably in a
University/Education Department/ Ministry of Education.
9. Director Security Qualification: M.A/ M.Sc from recognized university.
BS - 19 Experience: Retired Commissioned Officer of Armed Forces of Pakistan not
less then the rank of Colonal or equivalent. The persons having experience of
Security in University or Educational Institutions will be preferred.
10. Hostel Warden Qualification: M.A/M.Sc from a recognized university.
(Male) Experience: Thirteen (13) years experience as Warden in college/university
BS - 18/19 regarding responsibility of maintenance of order among the students in halls of
residence or hostels.
