R1 = 20 Ω
R2 = 20 Ω
ASSIGNMENT NO : 1
R3 = 20 Ω
R4 = 20 Ω
R5 = 10 Ω
Re = ??
Solution:
Formula: 𝑅𝐸 = 𝑅1 + 𝑅2+𝑅3+𝑅4 …
𝑅𝐸 = 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 10
𝑅𝐸 = 90 Ω

3rd

Given:
R1 = 20 Ω
R2 = 30 Ω
R3 = 50 Ω
R4 = 20 Ω
ASSIGNMENT NO : 1
Re = ??
Solution:

R1 = 6 Ω
R2 = 8 Ω
R3 = 4 Ω
R4 = 8 Ω
R5 = 4 Ω
R6 = 6 Ω
R7 = 8 Ω
R8 = 10 Ω
R9 = 6 Ω
R10 = 2 Ω
Re = ??

we can find the equivalent resistance of the R8 to R10
combination and call it RA.
ASSIGNMENT NO : 1

RA is in series with R7 therefore the total resistance will be

RA + R7 = 4 + 8 = 12Ω
This resistive value of 12Ω is now in parallel with R6 and
can be calculated as RB

RB is in series with R5 therefore the total resistance will be

RB + R5 = 4 + 4 = 8Ω

This resistive value of 8Ω is now in parallel with R4 and

can be calculated as RC
This resistive value of 8Ω is now in parallel with R2 from
which we can calculated RD

RD is in series with R1 therefore the total resistance

will be

resistive electrical appliance (alightbulb). An electric
current of 2.0 A flows through it. Consider the
conducting wires to be resistance-free. Calculate the
resistance offered by the electrical appliance.
Given:
Potential difference (v) = 8
Current (I) = 2A
V = IR
R =V / I = 8/2
R = 4 Ohm
