We’re finally getting back to normal here in Valley friends renewing acquaintances. The residents

Bans Travel to Montana

Well we sure saved a whole bunch of money.
Some of you wanted to build a wall to keep the
Californians out of Montana. Turns out all we had to
do was pass a bill protecting women’s sports, and now
California is banning travel to Montana.
When reports first started surfacing that
California was going to ban travel to Montana,
Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) asked, “Is that a threat
or a promise?”
According to Reuters, California Attorney
General Rob Bonta added Montana and four other
states to a list where state-funded travel is banned.
Here’s the funny part, apparently California had
already banned travel to more than a dozen other
states:
“The 12 other states on the list are Texas,
Alabama, Idaho, Iowa, Oklahoma, South Carolina,
South Dakota, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas,
Mississippi and Tennessee.”
17 states in total now that the State of California
is banning state-funded travel to. What an intolerant
bunch of Leftists in the gloom-filled “Golden State”
government.
Politico notes that there are some exceptions:
“The law has limited exemptions, such as travel
necessary to enforce California laws, participate in
litigation or protect public health. College teams have
used private funds to continue traveling to banned
states for athletic competition.”
Here’s my question: will the mask Nazi liberals
who violated social distancing protocols by going
around and harassing people over masks now go
chase down anyone entering Montana with California
plates?
If so, here’s my one request: can we get them a
Go Pro camera so the rest of us can watch the video?

Mussel infected boats
#35 and #36 intercepted
On Sunday, June 27, watercraft inspection stations
in eastern Montana intercepted two boats entering the
state carrying invasive mussels, making it the 35th and
36th mussel-fouled boats intercepted this year. This
surpasses the total number of 35 mussel-fouled boats
intercepted in 2020.
Shortly after noon on Sunday, the Wibaux station
found mussels on a used inboard ballast boat that had
been recently purchase in Michigan and was destined
for Billings. Inspectors decontaminated the hull and
locked the boat. AIS staff in Billings will flush the
ballast tanks before removing the lock from the boat.
The Wibaux station is operated by the Garfield County
Conservation District.
Sunday evening the Hardin inspection station
detected mussels on an inboard/outboard motorboat
last used in the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. The
recently purchased boat was being commercially
transported to Washington state. Inspectors removed

container sites. Refuse District #1 is asking the public
to please partner with us and T&R Trucking to call in full
containers.
Residents may not think that calling in full containers is
important. It is very valuable for the correct operations of
container sites. T&R Trucking has to be able to open the
splash plates and shut the lids when picking up a roll-off
container to not lose debris/garbage and keep sites clean.

America’s Great Outdoors

public lands sites this year, we could see an increase
in bear encounters. If you are visiting bear country —
and there’s plenty of that in Montana as an increase
in grizzly bears are expanding their territory — what
should you do if you see one of these amazing animals?

Tax Base: What Is It
Everyone should know what a tax
base is and what it does, but for those
of you who have recently moved out
from under a rock here’s your answer.
Everything needs a tax base to operate.
Starting with you. You have needs, food, clothing,
shelter, toys, band-aids, book-learning...well, you get
the picture. You need stuff and you need a “tax base” i.e.
money, salary, wages, trust fund, ( or in Hunter Biden’s
case a ‘tryst fund) to provide yourself with those things.
Next consider your household and its tax base.
Again you need money for mortgage, insurance, roof
repairs, landscaping, you need to feed your family and
provide the above mentioned needs. Your income is
your tax base.
What happens when your income doesn’t quite
cover your needs?
From your own property I now move on to your
town, then to your county, then to your state and finally
to your country. All of these locations need a tax base to
survive. And from whence do the government entities
get the tax base from which to operate. From you of
course. And from import tariffs on goods manufactured
overseas, from corporate taxation, from personal
income taxes from the various fees collected from the
hundreds of regulations written for the sole purpose of
collecting more tax base.
What is this tax base used for you might ask. Do
you have running water? Do you have a way to dispose
of your raw sewage? Do you have roads and bridges to
get you to and from places. And most important of all a
tax base is needed to pay the salaries of your city police,
your county Sheriff and deputies, a jail, and fast cars
to engage in thrilling police chases. And oh, yes, fast
ambulances to get you from your accident to the doctor
place which, incidentally also requires some of the tax
base money to stay solvent.
A strong federal tax base is also needed to pay the
“pitiful pittance” of just $179,000 + - per year to all 335
House of Representatives and the 100 Senators who are
in charge of the many different ways to spend. waste,
and squander a very large portion of the tax base going
over budget every year since Moses was a child floating
in a reed basket on the Nile River. (Correct me if I’m
wrong on that.)
Our basic infrastructure is a mess folks and there
has been very little money spent on fixing it in the past
40 years. Seems that people in poor nations around
the world take precedence over our own needs as our
government sends billions of US dollars overseas so that
some dictator or other can line his pockets and to Hell
with his people. He can always count on the generosity
of the United States to provide him with more money.
Now comes the real pernt in all this.
Can you just imagine the fix you’d be in if people
you didn’t know, non-related folks, uninvited people
came into your house every day and ate your food,
wore out your clothing, used electricity, water and
heating fuel, demanded you take them to the hospital,
school, free clinics, demanded you buy each of them
a new cell phone, get the oldest kid a car and the list
goes on. Imagine you had a government that demanded
these uninvited folks to live in your house without
compensating you for their care that has depleted your
“tax base.” What would you do?
Now let’s take that scenario a tad bit further
and say that 2,000 or so uninvited illegal aliens were
“relocated” into Valley County compliments of the US
government and without any payment for their care
and well-being from said government. Could Valley
County afford them? What would they take from you,
the legal citizen, tax-paying people of the county?
What would another 2,000 people do to our already
dwindling water supply?
Now take that Nation-wide! Are you Stunned yet?
