Description: Standard Density and Thickness
Description: Standard Density and Thickness
Insulation slabs are semi rigid boards manufacted from Stone fibers bonded with thermosetting
resin binder. It Can be Resist temprature up to 750 degree celcius.Kit is light weight, strong,
malleabl, easy to handle& cut to suit intricate shapes. It is used for Thermal and sound Insulation
applications. Such as walls, attics, floor in all kind of buildings.
Insulation does not settle, shrink or loose its insulation property over theperiod of time. Hence
carefully installed Insulation work will save heating costs throughout the life cycle of a building.
This Insulation is non-Combustible in nature and hece provide fire Safety also.
Acoustic Performance :
Rockwool slab achieve excellent acoustic performances as per ASTM Standards. Sound Insulation,
sound absorption coefficients, impact sound isolation. Its Noise reduction coefficient (NRC) value up
to 0.95
Fire Safety Performance:
Unfaced Rockwool Slab are non combustible classified as Class A1 and when tested in accordance
with IS 3144, BS 476 (part 4) , ASTM E 136 standards.
Unfaces Slab Fire safety rating as below:
1. Class 1 surface of flame in accordance to BS 476 (part 7)
2. Class O in accordance to BS 476 (part 6 & 7)
3. Surface burning characteristics in accordance to ASTM E 84/ UL 723
a. Fire Spread Index : less than 25
b. Smoke Developed Index :Less than 50
Moisture Absorption Performance:
Rockwool Slab absorb less than 1% by volume when tested in accordance with BS 2972, ASTM C
1104/ 1104 M, and do not absorb moisture from ambient air or from water by capillary action.
Only water under pressure can enter into stone wool insulation products; however, it quickly dries
out due to the open cell structure. FSK Faced Slab achieve water vapour permeability of ≤0.02
perm, ALG- Faced Slab achieve zero water vapour permeability.
Applications:
Rock Wool Slab are used for thermal acoustic insulation of building roofs, interior walls, floor and
HVAC Duct Insulation in industrial applications where fire hour rating are required.
Handling and Storage:
Products are to be stored in a well-lit, dry and protected area. They are to be kept in the original
packing, at elevated positions above the ground or on as slab, and away from the ground or on as
slab, and away from the walls, in order to avoid any penetration of moisture and dust or foreign
contamination. If stored outside and an open area, packages should be protected with a
polyethylene film, canvas or other similar type of covering.
