Md. Rakibul Islam Course No: IPE 2203

Assistant Professor
Department of IPE, RUET Online Lecture No: 01
Course Learning Outcome
Upon successful completion of the Course, IPE 2203, the students will be
able to...
▪ demonstrate knowledge of probability and the standard statistical
distributions
▪ explain elementary probability theory
▪ establish the statistical inference from practical data
▪ understand random variables and its distributions
▪ interpret population parameters from data sets and use the sampling
distributions to compute confidence intervals for these population
parameters
▪ describe the basic components of hypothesis testing and apply
hypothesis tests on population means, variances and proportions
▪ to perform complex data management and analysis
