Reflection

Aftergoingthroughthislesson,(DepEdMandate,
Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Strategic
Directions), answer in your journal the
following questions:

1. In what concrete ways has this session


helped you become a more agentive teacher
in promoting “learner-centered”teaching?
 I was able to understand the center
idea of this session that helped meto
promote this approach in mywork.

2. How has this session helped you clarify


your vision and motive in serving your
learners better and in promoting a
learner-centered environment forthem?
 Byunderstandingthemainpurposeofmy
work as a teacher. It is notnecessary
that we finish all talksinside our
class we also give chance to our
learners.

3. What is the impact of the Department


Mandate, VMV and Strategic Directions in
your vocation as a teacher? How canyour
understanding of DepEd’s Mandate and VMV
provide impact to your work as a teacher?
 Itclearlygivesmetofullyunderstand my
role as a teacher to promote this
learner-centered approach. Be fully
equipped with ideas so that we can
deliver our lessonwell.

4. What are your personal beliefs


and values that are aligned with the
DepEd’s VMV? Being resourceful in giving
my assessment towards my learner.
It’s not only the activities
inside the book but also surfing in
the internet to make my lesson
morecomprehensive.

5. How can you contribute to improve


quality and relevance ineducation?
 In order improve quality and relevance
ineducationImustseetoitthatIam guided
with my lesson plan, Teacher’s guide
and curriculum guide in this way I can
be able to know which competency to
use in my teaching and not jumping any
lesson. If we try to follow this
practice it is more easier for us to
battle every lesson of the day because
we already know what todo.

processes in the performance of your

 It provides guidance to allemployees
by laying out the official reporting
relationship that govern the work
flow of thecompany.

addressing concerns related to hisor
herduties?
 It is important whom to approach
because they can give you more
comprehensive answer to yourproblem.

As a teacher, what are the indicators


under beginning stage that you can do? Is it
possible that you can move to the higher
career stage? Knowing where you are, what
professional development goals could you
prepare based on your strength and areas for
improvement?
 Professional Development is one way
to to develop yourself in teaching.
Wecanunderstandbetterourpedagogy if
we develop professionally. Thus, it
can help us to move to thehigher
career stage. Based on my strength
the skill and focus of knowledgeand
skillsattainment.

As a newly hired teacher, I am already


manifesting the following qualities like being
resourceful in teaching.

In the Department of Education, we aresaddened
to hear news of malpractices of teachers inthe
profession. Let us uplift ourselves and our
profession. Write your commitment to complete
the paragraph below.

As member of the DepEd learning community, I


commit myself to help realize the DepEdmission
and vision. I promise to do my duty honestly.
Asateacheritisourroletomoldourlearners. We
play a vital role in the world and in our
students. We touch lives of children. We need
to be aware of our practices in theprofession.
Let’s be reminded of our limitation in the

Ms. Rose Q. Reyes posted two-piece swimwear


pictureofherselfinherFacebookpage.She
received negative comments from the
community and stakeholders. Ms. Reyes
justified that she has the right to post
anything on her Facebook account since it
was her personal account. Is it right for
Mrs. Reyes to dosuch?

During barangay fiesta, Mr. Ben Y. Mayawas
designated as the fiesta directorate
chairman.Becauseofhistalent,heaccepted the
task willingly even without any
honorarium. He facilitated culture-based
activities that made their barangay fiesta
a significant one. Is it alright for Mr.
Mayanottoreceiveanycompensationforhis
services rendered since this will be a
precedent for the succeeding activity
coordinator?

Mrs. Dae P. Habalo, of Sibulan National


High School refused to admit a student for
not being a resident of the said barangay
where the school is located. Is it right
for her to doso?

Traditionally, a civic parade is held with
school participating during
Independence Day. All teachers andstudents
are required to attend. All of Mrs.
Katherine Y. Sedillo’s students areexcited
tojointhesaidparadebutshedidnotjoin them
due to personal reason and only asked the
president of the class to check the
attendants of his classmates. Is the
decision of Mrs. Sedillo not answerablefor
any untoward incident to happen to the
students?

 I was able to realize the importanceof


my role as ateacher thatwe need to
honestly do our job and give what is
asked.

 Yes, particularly in assessing my
learner’s work. I need to improve it by
formulating questions based from topic
discussed and ask assistance from the
masterteacher.
