INDIA OF MY DREAMS

India is my country and I feel extremely proud to be an Indian citizen. India is an

independent country as it got freedom from the British on 15 th August, 1947.
Being an Indian, there are lot of things to be proud of. India is the largest democracy in
the world, 7th largest country in the world and one of the most ancient civilizations in the
world. Sanskrit, a very old language from India, is the mother of all higher languages.
India has the largest pool of scientists and engineers in the world.
Having said that, I have a vision or dream about India on how I want my country to be in
the future. I want the forests exploitation to stop so that our animal population can grow,
and we have a cleaner environment as forests produces large amount of Oxygen.
Forests also helps to reduce the pollution and global warming. Our forests are home to
a lot of endangered species, and we can save all of them by conserving and rebuilding
our forests.
Another change I would like to see in my dream India is to have a better system for
waste management. Cleaner lands and water bodies will help us greatly in improving
our living environment and help us to have a better immune system. Most of the
contagious diseases are results of pollution. We should reduce the usage of plastic
bags and always aim to reduce, reuse and recycle.
We should support our Prime Minister Narendra Modiji’s “Make In India” initiate as it’s
slogan is “Zero defect Zero Effect”. It states that all the advanced processes, materials
and technologies should product the products with no defects and no adverse
environmental and ecological efforts.
I studied in one of my language books how girls in India are forced to stop their
education at young age as the boys get more privilege over girls. This needs to change
as all kids should get a chance to educate themselves. Children are the future of our
country. As our beloved Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam sir once said, “Education is the most
powerful weapon you can use to change the world”. Every schools should have a big
library, similar to what we have in DPS where kids can read their favorite books and
learn more about the world, we are living in.
I hope, we children can make a good difference in the world when we grow up. I would
like to quote Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam sir again, “Dream is not that which you see while
sleeping, it is something that does not let you sleep”.

Thanks & Regards,
