I can’t believe it. The road to the Temple is shut! tsolenka Pass is sheathed in
green flames which bar my passage. If I want to continue my research I must
confront Vladimir. Ivan opposes the idea of course but then again he doesn’t
know of my relationship to the Order.

Dear diary, 16 th of Eyule, 705

Argynvostholt has truly become a bastion of despair. The crumbling walls

and ceilings are only held aloft by their hatred for Strahd. It was much
harder than I thought to obtain the passphrase. I probably wouldn’t have been as
fortunate if he did not love Sir Gwilym once. I will leave for the Temple
tomorrow now that the weather is still favourable around this time of the year.

I found the Grimoire! The lich really should have known better. I was not able
to bring it back to Vallaki but I was able to secretly take all the notes we might
possibly need. We will perform the ritual tonight, Ivan and I have been
practising the past week.Fiona has already made all the necessary arrangements
in her basement. I think she also wants to perform the ritual with Nikolai soon.

I can feel the baby stirring in my stomach again. It has been over 39 weeks
now. I haven’t been feeling so well lately but now that Izek’s arm has
mysteriously grown a weird limb, I can also have hope again. Ivan has stopped
working for the time being to join me at home during the day. He can be so
romantic sometimes. I feel that the baby is coming soon.
We’ll be ready once it does!

IREENA KOLYANA

Ireena Kolyana is the daughter of the burgomaster of the Village of Barovia,

Kolyan Indirovich. She lives in the burgomaster's mansion but wolves and other
terrible creatures attacked the house night after night for weeks. The
burgomaster's heart couldn't stand the constant assault, and he died a few days
ago. Strangely, since his death, the house has not come under attack again.

Prey of the Devil. Ireena has been bitten twice by the vampire Strahd. The
villagers are afraid of her and avoid her. Only her brother Ismark has stayed with
her so far. She doesn't remember her encounters with Strahd very well, they are
fuzzy memories thanks to his vampiric charm, but she can clearly recall the
blazing hunger in his eyes.

Appearance. Ireena as a striking young woman with auburn hair. Although she
appears mild, she has a strong will, and she will aid the party as best she can in
saving herself. She wears a breastplate decorated with fine filigree, emblazoned
with sun symbols. She also wears a deep red robe-like gown. When not in her
plate, her AC is 11.

IREENA KOLYANA’S TRAITS

Personality. “I refuse to become a victim, and I
will not allow others to become victimised. Others
should not be burdened by my curse.”

Ideal. “We are not defined by our past, it has

only shaped us who we are today.”

Bond. “I fight for those who cannot fight Ireena
