EULALIO N. ADRIANO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

REPORT ON SCHOOL PREPARATION FOR THE OPENING OF CLASSES

SY 2020 – 2021

I. INTRODUCTION

Eulalio N. Adriano Elementary School is a medium school located at Barangay Rajal Sur,
Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija with one School Head and fourteen (14) teachers assigned from
Kindergarten to Grade Six. This coming school year 2020-2021, our school will cater 398
learners through distance modular learning due to the pandemic Covid-19.

Intense preparation for the opening of classes on October is needed because we will be
facing big challenges and changes in the “New Normal” class’ set-up. Our learners need to be
prepared and be ready to face any circumstances that will come their way. This school year will
be different with what they were used to. No face to face classes will be held and the school
especially its personnel will take a very big and important role to help learners to be ready for
distance learning. With regards to our present situation (pandemic), our school is planning and
preparing ahead of time so that learners will still get what they deserve in terms of learning. We
will make sure that we will meet the DepEd’s objective to still bring to our learners the needed
education despite of what we are facing right now.

Preparing for the New Normal is not easy as one, two, three. There are lots of persons to
be involved to be able to meet the planned action. We need to tap the support of our stakeholders
particularly the parents, the LGUs and even the community people. We badly needed their
extending hands to be able to realize the different activities to be undertaken before and during
distant classes. We learned that many problems arise at this moment. From modules to the
capturing and distribution of it, but these circumstances will be overcome with the help of
parents and barangay officials.

II. Highlights:

At Eulalio N. Adriano Elementary School, preparations for the opening of classes were
evident with the following activities:
a. The first priority is the safeness during this pandemic so we never forget to do school
cleaning and disinfecting as part of our preparation
b. Purchased health materials to be distributed to learners like health kit, face mask,
soaps and alcohol.
c. Put up different health protocol signs to be followed to prevent the spread of virus.
d. Virtual conferences and meetings about remote enrolment using LESF were done
successfully.
e. Seek parents and barangay officials in distributing, filling up and collecting LESF and
giving back to the school for enrolment.
f. More than 100% of learners including transferred in were enrolled and tagged in LIS.
g. Teachers prepared and print Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC) for the
incoming school year.
h. Teachers attended different webinars that will help them prepare for the new normal
class’ set up and also Psychosocial activities that will help the learners easily cope
with the present situation
i. Disseminated information on how the new normal will be gone through.

III. Challenge/s:

In every changes and situations especially with this pandemic, we will face many
challenges that will measure our capabilities as educators. We cannot deny the fact that the one
of the most challenging part of this distant learning are the parents. They have this very big
problem on how will they teach their children like teachers especially the first timer-learners, the
kindergarten. The big challenge here is how the teachers can deliver education especially in
reading and mathematics if there will be no face to face classes.

IV. Recommendation:

It is recommended that intense preparation of the teachers should be done like providing
the learners with video lessons as alternative teaching aid, also giving time to teach also the
parents with techniques and strategies on how to teach their children.
