The Supply Street

Aims & Scope of The Supply Street

The Supply Street newsletter attempts to cover the latest developments, state-of-the-art research
and fundamental advances in all aspects of Supply chain and logistics. The international and
multidisciplinary nature of this field also bears the mission of being the window to academic and
professional achievements. The subject areas wrap branches of Supply chain management and
logistics with digital integration, covering both theoretical research and technological development.

When the Covid-19 pandemic subsides, the world is going to look markedly different.

“The supply shock that started in the wake of the pandemic and the demand shock that
followed as the global economy shut down, exposed vulnerabilities in the production
strategies and supply chains of firms just about everywhere. Temporary trade restrictions
and shortages of pharmaceuticals, critical medical supplies, and other products highlighted
their weaknesses.
Manufacturers worldwide are going to be under greater political and competitive pressures
to increase their domestic production, grow employment in their home countries, reduce or
even eliminate their dependence on sources that are perceived as risky, and rethink their use
of lean manufacturing strategies that involve minimizing the amount of inventory held in
their global supply chains.”

The Supply Street welcomes professionals and students to contribute their perspective in
the form of an article under the theme of Post COVID transformation in Supply chain and
logistics on the following functional sub domains: -

 Acquisition procurement
 Information maintenance
 Inventory maintenance
 Materials handling
 Protective packaging
