QUESTION NUMBER : 02
Analyse the given heat transfer model (Under steady
state heat conduction) and find out the temperature
distribution using the Analysis Software ANSYS 15.0 The
wall thickness are given in mm as shown in figure.
The thermal conductivity of the walls K1 ,K2 ,K3 ,K4 and
K5 are 44, 55, 66, 45 and 60 W/m0C. The inner surface of
the wall is maintained with the temperature of 6000C.
QUESTION NUMBER : 04
Discretize the tapered plate given in figure, in to SIX equal elements and find
the nodal displacements, element stresses and reactions. The thickness of the
plate is 10mm. Modulus of the plate material is E = 210GPa. Load applied on
the plate P = 40kN.
QUESTION NUMBER : 05
For the bar elements shown in figure, Find the deflections in the
nodes and stresses in the elements, and also the reactions. The cross
section area of the elements are A1= 600mm2 and
A2 = A3 = 400mm2. Elastic Module are E1 = 70GPa and
E2 = E3= 200GPa. Force applied P = 20kN.

QUESTION NUMBER : 06
For the bar elements shown in figure, Find the deflections in the
nodes and stresses in the elements and also the reaction forces. The
cross section area of the elements are A1= 600mm2 and A2 = A3 =
400mm2. Elastic Module are E1 = 70GPa and E2 = E3= 200GPa. Force
applied P = 20kN.

ANSYS RESULTS
All the deflections are in mm and the
Stresses are in N/mm2
