Situation 1:
Karachi, a sprawling metropolis of more than 20 million people, was one of the worst-hit by the urban
flooding. Record rains flooded Pakistan’s largest city and paralyzed the city authorities. This year, Pakistan
has seen some of the most intense monsoon rains, with more than 189 people killed and thousands of homes
washed away in flooding across the country, according to the country’s National Disaster Management
Authority (NDMA).

Pakistan's most populous city has been hit by its heaviest rainfall since records began in
1931. At least 41 people have died, while the toll could rise as rescuers struggle to reach
several neighborhoods. We karachi people we haven't received anything like that before and

The pakistan city of Karachi has experienced its heaviest rains in almost a century, killing
dozens and leaving hundreds of thousands trapped, officials said Friday.

At least 41 people have died from the deluge, though the death toll is expected to rise once

rescuers reach several neighborhoods that were currently inaccessible.

The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) fears hundreds of thousands to reach

The city, which is home to roughly 15 million people, has experienced its heaviest rainfall in a

604-mm rainfall was recorded in Karachi during August, breaking the years-long record of

heavy rains in the city during the month. The torrential rains have caused a disastrous

situation in Balochistan province where scores were left homeless after their houses were
swept away by flash floods triggered off by lashing rains.
