Lesson Plan in Science and Health IV

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the learners will be able to:
Explain the use of water from different sources in the context of daily activities

A. Science Concept/ Ideas
* There are three main sources of water.
1. Seawater is salty. It contains plenty of salt. It is found in the seas and oceans.
2. Freshwater is also called surface water. Unlike the seawater, it does not contain salt. This
found in the open but small bodies of water like rivers, lakes creeks and ponds. Surface water
water comesmostly from rain. Rainwater flows from land intostreams and rivers.
3. Groundwater is found lies under the surface of the land.

III. Procedure

1. Engage
(Shows a song ) WATER SONG

Ask the learners the following questions.

What is the song all about?


What are the uses of water according to the song?
Is water important in our daily activities?
Unlocking of Difficulties
Water - a tasteless, odourless liquid.
Conserve - is to save, to keep and protect something from damage, change or waste.

Remind the learners about the norms/standards to be followed in doing the activity
* Read and understand the instructions properly.
* Cooperate with your group.
* Do not disturb the other group.
* Maintain cleanliness in your workplace.
* Minimize your noise.

Group I – Write down 5 activities you do every day that you use water.

Group 2 – In what situation you will conserve water?

Group 3 - What sources of water did you see in your community?
